Veterans, homeless and poor people are supported by South Baltimore Treatment CenterÕs residential treatment program comprising of a combination of methods. Contents include recreational activities such as golf and fishing, vocational training, other therapies like Tai Chi and Acupuncture. The center also provides job placement opportunities to its residents in hospitals, airports, schools and other non-profit organizations. Launched in 1991, the center has increased its capacity from 25 beds to 144 beds which are currently used to support homeless people and veterans. The center welcomes volunteers to assist in hosting fund raising events, participating in counseling sessions and to contribute skills. Checks, debit cards, credit cards, and PayPal are the accepted modes of payment.
