As a pool owner for 10 years I have tried the services of various companies. But I have not found any company and service provider as cheap as Hohne. They cater to my needs anytime I request them and are quite professional with their work. The same types of reviews are from the people who had referenced me to Hohne pool services. They provide services within the allotted time duration and as per the convenience. Even on other sites the reviews were good. I haven't found any negative reviews and complaints on any other sites as well. Most of them were in favor of Hohne and Gary.Gary is a very responsible person and takes care of various things and most importantly that the project is completed within the prescribed time duration and that the budget remains in check. He is quite a cheerful guy and loves the company of friends and even if you have newly met him he will never let you feel so. He is well praised and quite well known for his professionalism. Even the other local pool companies appreciate his concerns and most often seek help and advice from him. I am quite certain that there is no better company than Hohne.

I had bought a home with a pool in it but it was greenish and very dirty with various different insects flying around. So I asked for quotes from various service providers and finally chose Hohne. They cleaned the pool and it is finally sparkling. All this was within the affordable range. They also helped change the old parts of the pool like heater and jets. He also taught me how to do cleaning of the pool on my own...

Our pool is 57 years old. We just had the third vinyl pool liner installed by Hohne Pools. They are a great company to deal with and the quality of their work was outstanding too. Everything turned out great, the pool looks new again. Would definitely use them for anything I needed in the future!

The company Hohne Pools is known as the best pool maintenance service providers present in the business. Now the professional team of Hohne Pools has been regularly providing their expert pool maintenance services for their client. Good job guys

Do not use Hohne. Do your research and do not let the 5 star reviews fool you. You can easily tell which ones are fake. The owner of this company promises everything up front but doesn't stand behind his word. He is quick to pick up the first check and then it becomes impossible to reach him. Expect major delays. He is extremely arrogant and condescending and that has been confirmed by others in several 1 star reviews.
Apparently Hohne Pools was a great company when the owner's step dad was running the show. It is unfortunate that his son is running the business into the ground. The reviews on BBB and angies list describe terrible situations about projects being dragged out for several months, poor workmanship, lack of accountability and the list goes on. This isn't an exaggeration. Save yourself the headache because this company will ruin your summer.

I have been around the block with pool service companies. Thankfully, I finally found Hohne Pools. Every employee know what they are talking about. They actually know chemistry. There testing is accurate and their advise on which products to use are spot on. They too are excellent and efficient. They show up on time and everything goes smoothly. They advised me to open early (yes early April) and close late. By opening early and having a mesh cover, I need way less shock and I saved a few hundred dollars .You could not get a better pool company and I know since I tried and failed with at least 6 others.

When it comes to pool services, we had nothing but the best experience with Hohne Pools. After calling several other pool companies in the area (treated with poor customer service and extremely high quotes), we finally gave Hohne a call and were treated amazingly from the start. They were very flexible with our schedule, showed up on time, and their work was fantastic! Best pool service around.

Hohne Pools customer service is exceptional and the workmanship is of the highest quality. Hohne really does set the bar high and is well worth the investment. A few examples of how Hohne goes above and beyond expectations is that Gary responds to any questions via e-mail or phone with 24-48 hours ALWAYS; you deal directly with the owner not a salesman; Gary made a number of trips out to my home just to ensure I picked a color I would be happy with.
Gary worked with me on a construction date where I could be home due to my dogs having high anxiety, which is very hard to coordinate in construction but Gary made it happen; when work is performed there is a great deal of care taken towards your property (during the plaster job I watched the crew on countless occasions wipe and clean our coping as well as tiles); Gary fulfilled every commitment he made (there was never a broken promise); and Gary truly cares that his customers are happy with his work (he doesn’t disappear after you pay him and promptly addresses any concerns you have).
Gary delivered all of the chemicals for my pool to my home and spent almost two hours walking through everything I needed to know about maintenance and chemicals in addition to remaining available later if any chemical questions came up.
Trust me Hohne is first class and you won’t find a more superior pool company. There is definitely a reason Hohne Pools has been around for over 60 years with multiple awards under its belt. I never write reviews, but I took the time for this one because I wanted anyone looking for a pool builder to know Hohne Pools is the absolute best choice. Chose Hohne Pools, the best and finest in the pool business and I assure you your pool experience will be a pleasant and exciting experience.

Please do not hire Hohne... you will be saving yourself $$ and stress! I had Hohne install a new vinyl liner in my ingroud pool. After they tore the old liner out, they hit me with a very large $$ change-order because they had to retrowel the floor under the old liner. Once the new liner was in, I had to close the pool immediately.

When I opened the pool this season, the floor where they had me pay extra $$ to retrowel was all gone and there was a huge viod behind the liner. Gary Hohne said it would costs $2.5k to retrowel again, even though they already unexpectedly charged me for that when they originally put it in. He said that if I do not fix it right away, I would need a new liner in a year. But what's worse, he said that the $2.5k repair wouldn't solve the problem and that I would have to spend $10k to get a new pool deck!!! Why didn't they tell me that before they put the liner in!?! Did the physics of pools suddenly change over the winter? It seems like everything they have done is a set-up for more $$ and more work. I would not recommend Hohne pools to anyone.

Don't use or trust their supposed knowledge

I contacted hohne pool after being reffered by my insurence company for replacement of a 33' round above ground pool including installation and removal of old pool damaged by a storm. The customer service rep took my information and said someone would call about coming out for a estimate. After 10 minutes passed the customer service rep called back to say it would be a $99 fee which would be applied to the cost of the pool which i paid. When Gary, the president of the company showed up i told him i wanted to replace the pool incuding installation and removal of the old pool. I told him it was 33' round and when orignally bought it was the largest made at the time. He took no measurements or pictures or did anything else but told me i shoud go to the showroom to pick out the type of pool i wanted. After spending 45 minutes driveing to the showroom and spending $6 in tolls plus gas i was told they did not deal in 33' round pools at all. I asked about ordering one from Atlantic pools which they dealt with and who produce a 33' round pool I was told they could not. They refused to refund the $99 and told me it was my fault he did not know it was a 33' round pool. This man does not have much knowledge to inspect a job site and not know he can not perform the work necessary. They should never have took my $99 or came out if they did not deal in 33' round above ground pools

Avoid this company. They took 5 months to finish a simple pool. We had to fight with them the whole time to get work done. It was very stressful. They promised us a cover for the pool and we never got it. Very unhappy with how they do business.
They just dont seem to care.

Do not use hohne pools, save yourself the stress and aggravation of having to deal with Gary,after the contracts signed you wont see him unless there is a cheque to be picked up.
How there still in business is beyond me.

Should have read prior reviews before contracting them. Service was absolutely Horrific, their manager hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation twice! had a bad attitude and did not try to resolve/help at all.
When hired to closed my pool, chemical were balanced and pool was in perfect condition. However, when they opened my pool it was a disaster in which they refused to help!(they closed and opened it)
Had my pool for the past 5 years and never ever EVER had such a horrific experience, AVOID at all cost!!!

Hohne Pools renovated (re-plastering, new tiles, new coping) our pool 5 years ago, in 2011. 3 years after the job was completed we've noticed cracks in the tiles. We have to change tiles and coping now, 5 years after complete pool renovation, because tiles and coping were not properly installed and the crack resulted in significant water loss. It will cost us $5200. Also, we are facing additional $5500 expense for the re-plastering the entire pool because of the cavities under the plaster. Apparently, no bonding material was applied prior to the plastering. NEVER hire Hohne Pools, the company is a complete rip-off.

They have STILL not started my pool renovations after promising a MAY 1 completion day during the sales pitch. They keep pushing date back. I am about ready to yank the rug from under their feet, find a new pool company, and put this project off till Fall. If this situation improves, Ill share that with you as well, but in the meantime....from my personal experience....buyer beware!!!! Gives a great sales pitch, gotta hand it to him.

We loved Hohne pool’s services and the pool they have built in our yard. The pool is a well designed addition to our home and our neighbour’s are asking who built it. The company has done their best to provide us with a great in-ground pool within our budget. I will definitely recommend Hohne Pool to anyone. I can surely say that Hohne Pool is certainly one of the best swimming pool builders.....
