I like the patient-staff relationships I have built and we all feel like family. The staff cares about us. When I came here I was on a trachea collar. Now, I can speak and have a lot of mobility. I can go out and visit my family whenever I want. The staff here gave me a reason to get up and push myself. Three years ago I was given the opportunity to leave but I decided to stay and keep all the relationships I made here. I was also able to continue my education while here at Irvington. Definitely a 5-star activities department.

I love the Chaplin! He preaches so well that I want to go to church twice on Sunday. The church gospels songs are amazing. I love bingo! They treat me so well here at Irvington. My daughters like seeming me happy when they come. I bring my family here on holidays and its wonderful. My grandkids love coming for Christmas. Ive been in a couple places and this has been the best. The food is marvelous and me and my roommate eat well. I have lots of friends here. We have ladies night where we order food and do activities together.

I like everything here. The care is great. I get services when I need them on time. The staff helps me keep my room comfortable at all times. My husband visits me everyday and I try to be in good spirits all the time. I admire everything here.

I love the activities and trips here. I love the All You Can Eat buffets and going to the Harbor, and Ocean City. I came in here on a ventilator and was expected to never come off. Now, I am off the ventilator, off the trachea, I can speak, I am in a mobilized wheelchair and am free to navigate around the facility. I came here when I was 24 and have been here for four years. I still get to be free and do things I want to do. I like the visiting hours. My sister and mom can come anytime they want and take me out to do things with them. The activities staff love me.

The activities are very great here. The caring that everyone gives us is special. The trips are amazing. Other people I talk to can't believe we get to go on trips we do at Irvington. My family even got to go on trips with me. I get to share the experiences with my family and I know that I am not stuck here and get to go on a trip twice a month. After I eat breakfast, I always want to go straight to activities. I learn a lot of interesting information. Irvington always keeps my mind stimulated. We play bingo and they help me so much. You don't see that at other faculties. The activities definitely increase my quality of life. Activities is my life. Without it, I wouldn't have anything to do.

The activities are really great. This is very important to me and I can find things to match my interest. I am very young and have connected with other young ladies and became good friends. I have the ability to do arts and crafts whenever I want. I create jewelry in my spare time. It is very convenient to have wifi because I can use it for social connections and online shopping. I also like the karaoke. When I first came in, I was on a ventilator and wasn't expected to ever come off. I worked with therapists and now I can breathe, eat, and speak completely on my own. I worked with rehab to get a custom fit wheelchair. Activities helps me set up special moments for me and my friends. The food is great and we have gourmet like meals and a lot of options. I am treated with respect all the time.

I like going to the movies and I can watch TV when I want without noise. I like to help other residents. The snack machines are my favorite and I can get to the easily. We have a music group called Sea depth that comes and they are awesome The bus trips are fun and we visit nice places. The staff leaves me alone when I want and helps me whenever I need.

I am the resident council president and I really enjoy the activities here. I get the chance to look after the residents and have a voice to the administration and help make changes and make sure everyone is happy here. I really like the arts and crafts and the bus trips. The Ocean City is my favorite bus trip. They give us a lot of freedom to do whatever we want to do. We can plan our own days, sometimes I like to watch TV or sometimes I like to hang out with other residents. They have the cleanest floors here as well. The staff takes care of everyone.

In my opinion, the staff takes excellent care of us. I had no idea there were places like this when I got sick. Im glad I found this place. It gives my family piece of mind knowing I am comfortable and always taken care of. I have a ventilator and the respiratory department helped me as mobile as I could be inside and outside the building. The staff has trained my family members to take care of me when I am not in the facility.

For me, personally, I really like the activities. I feel like they do as much as then can to keep us occupied, like trips and special holiday activities. When I have the chance, I enjoy the arts and crafts and karaoke. The staff go above and beyond. The GNA's that accompany us on trips, especially on our trip to the zoo, were very patient with us.

I have been here 16 years. It is a great facility with positive qualities and great programs for every resident.

Personally, the cleanliness, the availability of the administrator and director nurses, and education of the staff makes FutureCare Irvington appealing.

Nursing staff really care about their residents and know their residents. Spotless facility. Long term residents are comfortable and well taken care of.

Future care has an on-sight physician which was important. Their hospice program was great for my mother-in-law. Great availability of staff when a patient or family member has questions. Also a very clean facility.

I have been here for 11 years. I find it to be a good place to work. Employees are happy. Stressful at times but say a prayer and keep it moving.

Very clean facility and very friendly staff. Positive environment for anyone's family member! Staff is always willing to answer questions if you have them.

They still from the patients. I brought a Xmas gift for a patient & 1week later it was gone. No one could explain where it went.

One of the worst nursing homes in MD. Left snacks for my mom and they would not even give it to her. Morning shift is fine but evening shift comes in and it's like night and day. Evening shift is rude and will not do anything for the resident unless family complains to someone of authority and even then you only get what you need just for that time. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE

I currently work here and believe it is an amazing place to both work and have your loved ones stay to get taken care of. I couldn't say enough positive things about FutureCare. And clearly the state of Maryland agrees with this viewpoint: FutureCare just won top work place again for 2012.
