We went to Aldo's Restaurant Sunday night 3/7/10 @ 6:10 p.m. There were only two other people in the restaurant and we were seated right across from them in a "hallway" where we had to listen to their conversation even though every other table in the restaurant was UN-OCCUPIED. Our table was so small there was just barely enough room for our dinner, a drink and a glass of water. The waiters walked between us, behind us and around us through empty tables because the "hallway" had very little space left with tables on both sides. We waited more than 5 minutes for someone to show up a put water in our glass. When he left, we didn't see a waiter for another 7-10 minutes, not even to take our drink order or bring us bread an butter. When someone finally stopped for our drink order, we had to REQUEST a menu. My husband's surf & turf dinner (ordered medium rare) arrived with with barely warm, "rare" filet mignon, with a slightly warm crab cake and almost cold mashed potato's and asparagus, while my lamb chops (ordered medium rare) arrived overcooked. Of course, I had to sit and eat alone while they took my husband's meat away to be cooked and when it was returned it was burnt to a crisp on one side. We would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, least of all our friends or family, and will NEVER return. Little Italy has way too many excellent Italian restaurants with larger portions, smaller prices, a warm family feel, excellent food and good service even when the restaurant is completely full. Once again we would NOT recommend this restaurant.
