Last fall i bought a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.2 litre he said they put a used transmission in it so i took it i had less than a 1000 miles and the trans started acting up so i went back ken said it could be that the trans cooler was plugged so he put a after cooler in it,that didn't work so i said to him that advance auton sells remanufactured trans for 1500 he didn't like that idea but in a few days he asked me if i would give 500.towards it the truck hasw a good body so i said yes when winter came the first snow i pulled the 4 wheel engagement handle back but the truck was fishing after awhile i found out that the acuater for 4x4 was bad i stopped in right away he started blowing hi cork so if you think he's good you better think twice another local mechanic told me that Ken's an a**hole.

Why is it always someone else's fault when people have a problem? Here is the REAL story of Ken's Auto Service:

My husband and I have been long time patrons of Ken's Auto Service 230 Church Avenue Ballston Spa, NY and Ken was a savoir again today! Tonight we were to drop off Terry's car to be worked on and he would take my car to work tomorrow. But this afternoon when I went to start my car the battery was dead and I had to call AAA for a jump. I went straight to Ken's and he had a battery ordered, delivered and installed right away. Now all our plans will be able to go along smoothly. For many years we have used this Sunoco station for all our gas - even before Ken took over. We are supporters of this station because it does superior work, but mostly because there has never been a time when he and his men have not done everything in their power to help us as quickly and professionally as possible. Besides they have good gas.... Sunoco is lucky to have such an asset.

Very unprofessional. DO NOT buy a car here. Passed my car that I purchased from him when all other shops said it should had never passed. Swore at me and my fiance. Said that Broadway Muffler and Pete's Auto dont know what they are talking about when it comes to exhaust. Sold me a car with a half assed exhaust job done by him that leaked in several spots that my 2 yr old is in every day. Told me I have no idea what I am talking about(I am a mechanic by the way). Told me he put all new suspension in the car when it was junkyard parts. Never replaced my air filter(there was literally a mouse nest in it) Sold a car with a torn throttle body boot. Tried saying it didnt have bad balljoints in the rear and made me drive 20m to his shop to show him that I could move the wheel (on the ground) over 5 inches and wouldnt fix the other bad balljoint. His one "mechanic" broke both my headlight assembly's and he refuses to fix them. Overall this guy is in it for the money and wont fix it unless you find it. Bring a mechanic with you if buying a vehicle from him and do not let him or his non certified mechanics work on your vehicle.
