We prepaid for the creation for my mom in law. When she passed we were sent to Hillcrest to confirm arrangements. Should of had her ashes July 5, I call on the 8th was told she was being cremated that day, about a hr later received a call to pick her up. But I wasn't on paperwork and my husband couldn't go due to work. Office closed on wkend so had to wait till Monday. We get there no one answered door, we knocked on all the doors, call left message with answer service never received a call. so we call Hillcrest they said they don't know why someone doesn't answer come back Tuesday she passed away June 29th we will try to get her remains again July 12th very very upsetting.

My Father's Service

My family used Mish Funeral Home in Oildale and we were truly blessed by having had such a wonder staff directing the service. Every detail, including cemetery arrangements, were handled through Mish Funeral Home. The manager at Mish Funeral Home gave many suggestions on how to personalize our father's funeral and allowed his motorcycle to be pulled into the chapel area and made a part of the service. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT MISH FUNERAL HOME.

Nightmare of an experience!

Mish funeral home was very unprofessional when handling my funeral arrangements. Everything that could go wrong on that day did. I arrived at the funeral site along with my family only to find that Mish had failed to inform the cemetary of the funeral date and time. When I arrived to my funeral there was nothing set up. No chairs, tissues, not even a hole dug in the ground for my loved one. When confronted with the issue at hand Mish took no responsibility for the grave mistake. Karen Keeling the manager at Mish was apologetic on site but the attitude that Karen had after the funeral was over quickly turned to a cold, evasive, and dishonest one. She would not give me the corporate number to her company and refused to help me out any further that same day. She stated, " I'm at home now so you will have to call me tomorrow morning at 8 am". This was after she offered to take any of my questions or concerns at any time even at "Midnight". I did call her the next day only to have to leave a message with Angie. Neither Angie nor Karen returned my call that day or any other day after that for that matter. To say I was unsatisfied with the service provided with Mish Funeral Home is an understatement. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for funeral services.
