My friend took her husband here for a broken rib. He was in SEVERE pain but had to wait a long time to be seen. Unbeknownst to anyone, and while he was waiting to be seen, he was actually bleeding internally! When they finally found it out, he was life-flighted to Boston, but it was too late to save him because too much time had gone by. So, my advice to anyone needing an Emergency Room/hospital: Don't go to this one!

My daughter, 17, was brought to the Nashoba Valley Medical Center Emergency Room because she was experiencing severe stomach pains and diarrhea. She was diagnosed with "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" and sent away. Her symptoms persisted and the next day she was taken to the emergency room at Emerson Hospital in Concord, quite a bit further away. She was admitted and kept there for FIVE DAYS. The diagnosis at Nashoba was idiotic, first, because the acute symptoms were so obviously NOT those of IBS, which is characterized--if the diagnosis means anything--by a chronic sensitive stomach, and, second, because the symptoms so obviously WERE those of colitis caused most likely by bacteria or a virus. My daughter had to be hydrated and given nutrients through an IV for three days before she was able to drink or eat without pain and was able to digest. If you have a choice, do not go to Nashoba Valley Medical Center Emergency Room.

Dr. Gil Rohald is an amazing ER doctor there!

I recently moved to MA and needed to use the ER services for my daughter. We had gone to an urgent care 2 days prior in Fitchburg and they did nothing for my 4 year old daughter. Dr. Rohald heard our concerns and ran the tests needed to find out what was wrong with my daughter. He discovered she had anemia and strep-throat. We were so lucky that he was my daughter's doctor. He listened unlike others who ignored us at the Fitchburg Urgent Care. I would go back to him again in a heartbeat! Thanks Dr. Rohald!!!

Once you are in the Hospital, they can drug you and do what ever they want.

I was sick and my boyfriend took me to Nashoba Valley Medical Hospital. Bennidril had taken my memory. They gave me meds for the pain. bennidrill and we are not sure what else. When they asked to take blood, I said yes. With no memory to me It was like being attacked. They knocked me out and told me they needed fluid from my spin. With no memory I again said yes. I moved and now I am in pain. It was a night maire, they were very rude to. They scared me to the point I will not go to the doctor. It has been over a year and sometimes can barly pick up my feet, and the pain worse. Something should be done. I signed the form but they drugged me first. My boyfriend stayed with me the whole time and was told to shut up or he would arrested. I just want to warn people not to go there. Choose another hospital, I don't want anyone to be treated like I was. Spread the word, we should protect each other.
