We have been using Avondale Cleaners infrequently for a while now. Prices are a bit high but we were satisfied until recently when the cleaner miscounted our pieces and quoted $17 for a suit, then tried to charge $8 extra for a single vest.

He agreed to charge the original price, but he removed the vest from our bag and refused to give it back until we paid him extra. We will not be using this cleaner again.

We have been using this dry cleaner for a while but have always thought they are too expensive. We paid the premium because it's convenient to pickup/drop-off to/from work and is right around the corner from where we live. Lately we have had some bad experiences including clothes clearly not clean or way too much starch used after we have asked numerous times that they use ZERO starch. This morning I decided I have had it with them when they charged me twice for a dress I took back because it still had stains under the armpits and a spot on the front. When I explained I wasn't happy that they would charge me twice (and at a premium) when I had to bring the dress back, they stared at me like I was crazy. After about 15 minutes of explaining I didn't receive a service I paid for in the first place, they said "no guarantee". So I am done with them forever. Don't waste your money here.
