Do not go to the YMCA in Austin. There are too many better options Austin has to work out in a hassle free environment. Staff at town lake and north locations would tell me I couldn't use the equipment or I needed to purchase special certification to participate in group exercise. Never go there alone. People exaggerate and make things up about you. Its like their picking a fight. Always keep your bags within sight. Someone stole a resistance band out of my bag before a class started at townlake. In the winter someone stole my pants at east. The website and app are not always correct. Sometimes the instructors don't show up. Staff followed me to Walmart and around Austin on several occasions. Granted there are some good people there but there's no guarantee you can walk into a harassment free environment and just workout.
