Established in 1949, the Texas Association of School Boards is a voluntary, nonprofit educational association that serves and represents local Texas school districts. Its membership includes more than 1,035 school districts, over 20 regional education service centers, nearly 50 junior colleges and approximately 150 educational cooperatives.
