We had 910 sq ft installed (544 of wood; 364 of tile) as well as new baseboards and it looks FANTASTIC. They were on time, finished when they said they would, and budgeted almost perfectly. Jose (lead installer) is very thorough, knowledgeable, and kind.



I totally goofed when it came to pay the final 50% balance after inspection--didn't allow enough time for my tfr from savings; asked Bill if he'd consider taking a check and just not cashing it until three business days later once they money was in the account and he obliged.



Bill was very reachable via email throughout the process. His prices are VERY fair compared to what you'll find around town. I appreciated Bill being a straight-shooter-he's direct and easy to understand. I'd recommend them without question. There's also a two-year warranty on the labor. All in all, for our first flooring experience, we are thrilled with how it went, start to finish.

We are thrilled with our new engineered wood floor, purchased from and installed by Lone Star Floors. Bill McGavern, the Owner was very helpful and considerate in helping us pick the flooring and we really appreciate Lone Star's ability to work with us within a very short timeline so that the floor was installed just 3 days after we closed on our new house. The installation crew was first rate and very considerate. The cost was very reasonable. We were very pleased with the entire experience and give Lone Star the highest possible recommendation.

The hardwood floors put down by Lone Star Floors turned out to be great. Bill has first class installation crews and the three installers that did our job did a great job. Junior, Noe and Edgar are artists at their trade and they treated us and our furniture with the utmost respect. Top quality Hardwood flooring and excellent work!! Bill's crew did a fantastic job on our new floors and carpet. Bill gave us a VERY reasonable quote compared to other flooring companies we visited first - 4K less in fact. there was no hidden costs, just great work and a very happy wife!! Fantastic Experience from first phone call to final piece of wood being installed. Found Lone Star Floors on the web as a vendor who could get their hands on the flooring we wanted from Southern Traditions. Bill was very helpful from the beginning, and answered all my questions with no fluff or attempts to upsell in any way. I did my due diligence in comparing prices from other companies in town, and Bill was able to beat the price of all others by $2k. When it came to installation the crew was fantastic. Work area was kept clean, and all the guys were professional, and showed their diligence and work ethic to deliver quality workmanship. In the end my $6k investment added no less than $15k in value, and we could not be happier.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Love my new floors, but more so, I loved the crew. The most polite and thoughtful people ever. Very courteous and observant to working around us. The installation looks amazing and they really paid attention to detail. Bill, the owner, was extremely flexible with scheduling and we just had a really great experience. Highly recommend them!

I spent quite a long time talking with Bill, the owner of Lone Star Floors. Although, he thought I was sarcastic when I thanked him for considering my small job which came to a charged square footage of about 150 of laminate including scrap pieces. I was actually serious and even though there was a small job labor assessment I was satisfied with the contract. My conversations with him led me to believe he had knowledge and experience with both floors and their installation. I did have to adjust a bit to his personality but I believe his primary interest was a good job. His installation team was experienced and worked consistently until the job was done in about 4 hours. I was particularly happy with how they fitted the pieces at the closet entrance. I was very satisfied and would recommend Lone Star Floors to a friend if the need arose.

I am extremely happy with my new floating click and go floor. The installation was extremely professional. With most contractors in the building trade you have to stay on top of them to make sure the job is done the way you would like. Lone Star just did the job right the first time. They did two rooms and the stairs. The stairs are particularly tricky to do, but they did a really good job. So much better looking than the tacky beige carpet installed by the builder of my house. I'm happy with the product that I chose, the Australian Cypress is the right blend of character and tone to keep the rooms bright and spacious yet have some visual appeal. I chose Lone Star because of their experience in the industry. It was a really good choice.

I wanted the best price and a little advice and I got both. Bill is great, knows floors and was very willing to educate me. I went to two other flooring stores and his was the best price.

I had wood and laminate floors installed in my house by Lone Star Floors and they did an excellent job! Everyone that worked for this company knew what they were talking about and were very helpful. Lone Star Floors installed laminate floors by crescent and some tile recently in my home. They had the best pricing and warranty, and definitely know what they are talking about. Lone Star Floors also has a joint company that can handle full remodel and general contracting, and I had them do my paint as well. All the work was done very well and completed when they said it would be. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on your home.

Bill was great to work with and has helpful ideas on design. He has a wide variety of flooring and from many manufacturers so there is no problem finding the right combinations of flooring products. We needed Tile, Carpet and wanted wood or laminate to transition between rooms. Having someone that has been in the business for years to help is priceless. I would recommend Lone Star Floors to anyone.
