Provided by YP.comI just ate at the location on rundberg and i was skeptical on the fact that it used to be the infamous Pollo Regio. But in my opinion, Pollo Rico blows me away. The chicken is by far the greatest thing i have ever eatan, and if i may also say that it is better than the Pollo Regio before it. The chicken with the sauces, green one especially, are absolutely mouth watering.
This new and improved taste got me thinking if there were still pollo regios in austin. I found one off of Ohlen and decided to compare it. Yes i am a serious critique and find it a great passtime. Anyways, i bought a chicken from Regio and another from Rico, and decided hands down that Pollo Rico has the better chicken. The great taste of their juicy chicken covered in a certain sause, which is called "Achote," i believe, is great.
Upon further inspection i have figured out that the chicken is absolutely grease-free. Despite the fact what others may say, the "grease looking color" on the packaging is simply the "Achote" along with juiciness of the chicken itself. Not only is this food great tasting, it isnt half-bad for you either.
