There are several gripes that I have with this apartment complex, but I am not going to discuss them all. I am not going to talk about how the apartments are maggot infested or how the management steals residents' deposits and refuses to return them when they vacate their apartments, and I'm not even going to talk about the many car thefts that occur on a weekly basis.



I am only going to talk about how this insidious complex not only stole my deposit when I left, but sent a bogus $244 charge to Collections. Rather than sending this phony charge (which I would have begrudgingly paid) to my forwarding address that I left with management (Pressi Campos), they instead decided to send this charge to Collections. Now, my once flawless credit report is tainted by these incompetent imbeciles at Brook Meadow Village.



No matter how often management is changed, they always seem to mess things up for residents. I suppose they do it because most of the residents are Latino and African American. Who cares about them, right, Brook Meadow Village?



Stay away from Brook Meadow Village Apartments at all costs! Do not let their smiles fool you. Once your signature is on your lease, they have your soul and if you ever want to leave, it will cost you more than you can pay.

I have come here to say that there has been significant improvement in management and maintenance. I have lived at this complex since May, 2011. Also, I would say that it appears as if some of the posters below have exaggerated the condition of the area as if they had a vandetta against the complex. The complex has attempted strenuously to eliminate any insect issues. I would now certainly recommend this complex. The staff is helpful and courteous and maintenance issues are addressed quickly and satisfactorily.

bad management-no return deposit

I did my part by paying my rent on time or even early, given my notice I was vacating when my lease was up. The management can at least return my deposit in a timely manner. I have never had this problem from other places I have rented from before. I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in. They didn't even have my apartment ready when they promised, as they said, they will mail me my deposit. The management is very unprofessional. I will notifly the Austin Tenants Council and the Better Business Bureau about my concerns.
