Today I notified the owner of this establishment that I was going to file a lawsuit against them. I’m going to detail what happened in just a moment but it’s important to know that we had paid these people tens of thousands of dollars for their services. In January I moved to Austin with my wife and two small kids. We bought a brand new beautiful modern home in Travis Heights. Our realtor referred us to this landscaping company. We agreed on a proposal and work was completed sometime in January. Immediately after they told me that they had completed their work on our front and backyard I became concerned. To quote a friend of mine who saw the completed job, the yards looked sparse. When I addressed my concerns I was told to give it time because come springtime everything will bloom and be very lush. Well Spring did finally arrive and all we saw there were weeds and sporadic growth of some of the most aesthetically unappealing plants you could think of. After talking to some people who understand landscaping they were quick to point that it was foolish of this company to work at the peak of winter given its severity. In any case, many of the plants that were supposed to grow never did, some simply died. We never had the beautiful flowers they were supposed to grow on vines on our fence. When I showed the front lawn to the owner and how poor of a condition it was in, she agreed but somehow was trying to convince me that it wasn’t her fault. And that is also what’s. so troubling about this entire experience. They simply do not seem capable of taking ownership when the job they do fall short of everyone’s expectations. Several weeks ago I brought this to their attention and I explained to them that I was very upset given the amount of money I had put into this, they couldn’t care less. I wish I never would’ve went to these people in the first place, what a horrible experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
