In 1994 I used Airtech to convert my house with window units to central air. They did a good job and I never even made a service call until 21 years later when my system needed to be replaced. I had to redo the entire duct work system too because rats had gotten to it. Didn't get any city rebates they said it was a hassle & they charged me equal to what I'd get back. Fair enough. About 1 year into my new system problems started. The system would take hours to turn on. I'd call for service & by then it'd be working. This happened over and over and over. They replaced the thermostat a couple of times, but the problem never resolved. I finally called someone else in to take a look and they found countless errors in the way it was installed, the motor had burned out, and it took this guy one visit to see at least 4 things done terribly wrong. They must have lost their skilled workers years ago, the new service men did not figure it out. I was not going to have them come out after all their failed attempts and ate the cost of getting someone I could count on and trust. Good company gone bad in my opinion.
