I made it through the school. After I failed my test the second time. I never heard from the school again. I called multiple times with no answer. They were supposed to call me to set up another appt. They never called. I had to set up my own appt. I called again and had to ask them to send mine and my husband's certificates.
I also had issuses with instructors. Honestly, I would not recommended this school. They did not help me get my license. They just cut me off after I failed. My company should get their money back.

I attended Katlaw in April 2017. It's a grinder school. They throw you and a bunch of others all in together going over all types of rules and regulations and doing all types of maneuvers in the trucks for three weeks and when it's over well, ready or not, It's over! Time to take the test. They'll give you all the tools you'll need to succeed but it's up to you to get it done. I saw my entire class of 8, except for two, pass the state cdl test on the first try. One and done!! My only gripe would be that they would do good to show the range a little love with a few new crisp lines of paint and maybe not let the classes get too big because of the ones who couldn't get it done the first, second, third, fourth or fifth time! Our class doubled in the last two days because of re-takes..not hatein, just sayin. Outside of those minor details, I can honestly say I got my money's worth. The instructors were on point. You got different points of view with millions of safe miles between them but you gotta keep your eyes and mind open and do what it takes to make it work for you because on test day it's just you and that truck. It's a bit of an aggressive schedule and a lot to take in but it's worth it in the end so be ready to get up at 4:30am and come to work 12hrs. I'd definitetly recommend this school, for sure.

My husband spent thousands and months trying to get his CDL thru this school, they lied and said it takes 3 weeks but they fail to tell you that if you fail any part of the tests they give, you wait weeks before they get you back in to continue your training. By then its like starting from scratch if you've never driven a semi before. He attended every class and worked Very hard and still did not get the support he needed. Several people in one truck to learn, pushing you to take the state test before you're ready...They were always looking for more money from him to get more help/additional training. Ended up going somewhere else. Even though he competed all his work there and passed their testing, they would not give him any proof he finished there (Without Paying hundreds). Wish I could give ZERO stars!!! Don't waste your money! They lie to students to get them in and once they have your money you are still without work for up to months while you try to pass the tests. Then if you pass you still cant get a job being a new CDL holder. Unless you want to be OTR for 6 months on end. No local work for new drivers.
