I would NOT recommend this dry cleaning service to anyone. This is the worse experience I have ever had with any business, no exception. They are very disrespectful and do not stand behind their guarantees.



My husband, who is a Veteran, was given a leather, POW jacket by another Veteran to wear in honor of al POWs everywhere. Unfortunately, the jacket had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. We searched the web looking for a reputable dry cleaner that cleaned leather. We found Pure Dry Cleaners on Prospect Ave. in Aurora, CO. We chose them because their website states they GUARANTEE their service.



This is the guarantee statement copied directly off of their website: "Pure Dry Cleaners of Aurora, CO offers complete, professional dry cleaning and alteration solutions at competitive rates. We are dedicated to providing prompt dry cleaning solutions, quality workmanship, and exceptional results for we believe you deserve nothing less. We guarantee our performance and your satisfaction. No gimmick!!"



We took the jacket to them and the proprietor told us he would be able to remove all of the cigarette smell. After 1 week, we returned and picked up the jacket and paid $35 for their service. My husband wore it out that evening and we noticed it still smelled like cigarette smoke. Friends we were with also noticed the smell.



We took the jacket back to Pure Dry Cleaners and this time we were told they would clean the jacket again, but if the smell did not come out, there was nothing else they could do. We returned today to pick up the jacket and it still smells like cigarette smoke. I asked if we would be getting a refund since they guaranteed their service and they did not deliver what was promised. I was told that the proprietor informed us that if the smell didn't come out of the jacket, there was nothing else he could do this. I asked the proprietor why he told us he would get the smell out of the jacket the first time we brought it in if there was any chance he could not do this. He, very rudely, told me not to argue with him because he already told us he couldn't do it. I believe if someone guarantees something they cannot deliver, a refund for the service is customary.



On top of everything else, another customer entered the store and interjected himself into my conversation with the owner by telling me I was "crazy" and that if the owner told us he couldn't get the smell out, that should be enough. I will admit, this customer and I exchanged a few choice words because he chose not to listen when I told him this was not any of his business. But....the owner did nothing to stop our interaction or ask the customer to keep to himself.
