NEVER AGAIN!

When my dog was lethargic, not eating and unable to go to the bathroom, I called our regular vet, and was told they were no longer taking walk-ins. I called Seven Hills, who said I would be able to come there. I arrived before 6 and was put in an examination room for over 30 minutes. Oh surprise....I am now considered an urgent care client. When the vet finally came into the room, she looked at the history, taken by an assistant, and said we need to do x-rays. Never examined the dog, or even listened to his heart. She was cold and distant with an attitude of not really wanting to be bothered. Their explaination of what could be wrong frightend me, so I decided to go ahead with treatment. 2 and a half hours later I was told he was dehydrated and had inflammation of his colon, and he should spend the night on IV, at a cost of OVER $800.00!! I opted for some medication, and a wait-and-see approach. This came to almost a $500.00 bill with an x-ray costing $270.00 and a certain medication costing over $25.00. Quite a mark-up, if you ask me! Four days later, there was no impvovement, so I called the clinic again, since they had already seen him once. I was told they had no appointments available, but they would be happy to take me through urgent care! I bet they would!!! I called my regular vet who said he would be able to see us in about an hour. After a THOROUGH examination, it was found that my dog was NOT dehydrated and had an imapacted anal gland. Wouldn't Seven Hills have found this problem, had the vet done an examination to begin with ?! After doing what-ever my vet had to do, he gave us the same anti-inflammatory medication as Seven Hills, at a cost of $7.00 with the entire bill coming to just over $60.00. Seven Hills is a rip-off, as far as I'm concerned. It was obvious, by the time I left, that they are in the business to make as much money as they can, Forget compassion towards an animal, they have to pay for the brand new clinic they just opened, which looks like a ski-lodge! Here's a tip....the animals don't care what your lobby looks like!

Amazing care and compassion

I had to make the decision today to put my beautiful little Samantha down. She was almost 17 years old and the care and compassion of this hospital has been the best care I have ever received. Dr. Jeffrey Mullen has cared for my sweet little blue point siamese kitty from the start of her life. His care and compassion has exceeded any of my expectations. He has always been there for me, always returned my calls and addressed my every concern in the care of my aging kitty. The care of the staff and kindness I have received from them in nothing short of amazing. He was in surgery and took time between cases to come and hug me an support me during the most difficult decision I had to make as my sweet girl struggled to breath. He also cared for my seal point siamese who made it 21 years. I have never been so grateful as I have watched his staff and other doctors as they have given nothing but excellence and compassion in the care of my sweet little companions. I will always use this clinic and I trust them with all of my heart. Bless them as they are doing what they are meant to do. Mark & Dawn Battle

Because I just got raped by this place....

This place will treat you like you are dumb and find anyway they can separate you from your money. The did it to me and usually I am on top of things but they got me when my guard was down because my pet was suffering. Come to find out afterwards I could have paid half the price at almost any other clinic. No thanks, go else where.

You will find NO empathy here!

For a business in a caring profession this organization stinks. Not the individual Doctor or the staff per say but the organization as it is managed. First, once they have your money in hand you will feel like any caring about your pet and you has stopped. They won't even help you out to your car with your pet who has just had major surgery. Second, the follow up examine will be brief and incompetent. With my dog they missed two major problems that I specifically asked them to check. Which caused my dog to suffer with a horrible skin rash for a week. Before, I decided they were wrong and took my dog someplace else.Forget, about them having convinient appointments. Six Doctor's on staff and they can't get you in the same day. It doesn't seem to matter what the problem is either. And if you like being made to feel like an idiot who doesn't care about their animals by a young not very bright vet tech this is the place to go! I gave my dog asipirin which was a big no no according to

Dont take your pet here

I took my dog here when I found her dead in the my back yard. they told me that her stomach had turned and got backed up and said that I did not take care of the dog. As if the Vet knows and should be making assumptions. My dog was cared for and had all shots. they made my family feel worse in a time of great loss. they are very rude and uncompassionate.

good place if your rich!

the care and expertise is second to none; but unfortunatly wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to expensive!! I miss them terribly there.

prices

just called and they charge $54.00 for an office visit. Most vets will not charge for the visit with shots - but they do! That's pricey.

My dog died

I took my dog to seven hills when she died from her stomach turning. She died very quickly. I wanted to have her body taken care of correctly. My family was very sad and we where all crying. When I got there the doctor looked at my dog and told me that I had neglected my dog by providing the care she needed during her final hours. My dog was not neglected at all and had vet care every year. The Vet assumed there was no care without even asking me. To have her say that to us while my family is dealing with the loss of our dog was completely unacceptable. I then asked the nurse about the doctor and was told there are lots of complaints against her (the vet) and the owner will not do anything about it. Don’t take your pet here!

terrible service and overpriced

First, the vet kept calling me Mom, I am my childrens' mom, not my cats! Disgusting. Next they charged me for items without telling me first, then would not take them off the bill. Worst of all, after 1 1/2 hours spent on one cat, she would not give me medicine for the other cat cause she had not seen her. So, I'm supposed to pay another base of $56 for her to look at the other cat so that whatever bacteria they are sharing can be treated?! And let me mention, all of this is even before the report actually comes back on exactly what the cat might have. So, I just spent $150 on one cat to learn absolutely nothing.

Family care

Seven Hills has taken care of our family for over 11 years - 2 of my pets from cradle to grave. Our pets are our children and Drs Demey and Ley have always been there for us - even on emergency. The staff is always friendly and very caring. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in the area!

great care

i took my new puppy to seven hills this past weekend and had a good experience. the vet was caring and ensured me that my puppy was healthy. he spent plenty of extra time in the room after the exam talking to me about little things like house training and socializing my new puppy, i have never had a vet take that much time with us. they were very professional and caring. i would recommend them very much

Overcharges! $502 to diagnose the stomach flu! Extremely disappointed!

I went here before (years ago) and was pleased with the service. At the time they were friendly and reasonable.######This time I brought my dog and the charges were outrageous.######They performed what turned out to be tests that were unreasonable and unnecessary. The doctor recommended the tests so of course you agree. Later you find out that the tests should have been done after other options were explored.######Turns out my dog had gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and they wanted to charge me $502 for x-rays blood work etc. when the only thing that should have been done was hydration and meds to first rule out gastroenteritis######Extremely disappointed and will not be going back.
