Peter makes me glad I purchased my 92 240.

Independent Auto's Peter Fitts maintains 1995 and older Volvo's like they are his family. Where can you go to bring your 225,000 mile car in for Inspection and oil change...and pay just $63? Most places start at $1000. He attends to what needs attending. He is the brain surgeon of mechanics and St. Francis of frugality and honesty. Winter is an appreciated time to change the oil,l as he uses the old oil to heat the space. I drive a Volvo because Peter is there, period.

The concept is simple and ridiculously old school. You bring your broken vintage Volvo to Pete and he fixes it right the first time. You hand him a little cash. He has no website because websites cant fix cars.

Anyone who has ever done business with Pete at Independent knows that he only does one thing, and he does it better than anyone on the planet. If you have a pre-Ford Volvo (before '95) and want to hit that million mile pinnacle, there is nothing that he can't do to make that car showroom fresh...even if it hit the showroom floor decades ago. He does all the work himself...go to the dealer if you want free donuts, surveys and websites.
