Richard S. Epter, M.D. has served Augusta and the surrounding areas since 2000. He founded the Augusta Pain Center in 2001. Dr. Epter is the only Interventional Pain Physician in the area with 4 Pain Board Certifications and Board Certification in Anesthesiology. Dr. Epter is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and helps train Fellows in Pain Management that visit the Pain Center.

DR Epter has helped me with chronic pain in the lower back, left hip, both feet and neck. Due to degeneration of joints and discs and accidents when I was younger, I live every day in pain, but manage to get relief with Dr E's procedures. I do not expect to be forever pain free, but his treatments have enabled me to live a more productive life with greatly reduced pain. I am grateful for any time with out pain. Dr E has been nothing but professional and caring with me and I appreciate all his efforts to help me. I also appreciate the attention and care given to me by the office employees, nurses, etc.

Was put into more constant pain after a epidural lumbar injection that obviously went very wrong. Instead of caring for me, he left me in horrible pain and would not offer any assistance. His words after he tried to say he did nothing wrong were "your going to be in pain for a very long time". Heartless!

Had three minor procedures, and have been pain free and 100% active since. Great, great doctor and staff.

I had been living with pain for over 20 yrs - no doctor, x-rays, CT scans, etc could determine what the problem was - on the first visit to Dr. Epter he was able to pinpoint the problem. After the first treatment, I felt better, after the third I was pain free. I highly recommend to anyone that is in pain, to visit with Dr. Epter and let him help you find relief.
