YES!Atlanta (YES stands for "Youth Experiencing Success") was founded in 1988, and delivered its first Rising Star program in 1990. It mentors at-risk inner-city youth aged 14-18. Our objective is to have our participants, who enroll voluntarily, remain in and complete high school, while reducing the self-defeating behaviors that stand in the way of their maturing into fulfilled and contributing members of their community.



Teens first attend a 4-Day Youth Intensive where they make commitments for self-improvement. They are assigned a trained adult volunteer who works with the teen for a full year to fulfill the teen's commitments.
