Animal Abusers

Do not take your pets here. They will keep them longer than needed in tiny cages all day in a loud terrifying enviornment and physical cuts and harm is common place as well as screaming. Dont go here!

terrifying place

This place is like a horror movie. The owner is friendly and sociable with everyone that comes in but as soon and they leave the screaming and chaos starts back up. Those poor dogs are virtually tortured ans the cats are kept in an extremely tiny cabinet with zero attention. It makes me want to cry just thinkinh about it. Avoid this place at ALL cost. Owner should be put in jail!

They are completely unprofessional. The owner curses at employees in front of customer. The dogs don't even get blankest. The dog don't get to stay out or socialize. The owner hired a company to put good reviews up and take bad ones down. Dont bring your dog here!

Colleen is AWFUL!

She yells at the people who work for her which terrifies the dogs. constantly making fun of and insulting the employees and starting gossip. A petulant two faced bully. the dogs are kept in tiny cages all day and rarely get any play time. especially when it is busy during thanksgiving and Christmas. extremely inadequate facilities for the amount of animals she ILLEGALLY takes in. The back yard is tiny and the only way to get to it is going down metal stairs which are difficult for special needs dogs . they also use outdated "leads" which CHOKE the animals. Do not take your pets here!

Trust me, I have worked here and all the positive reviews are fake, the owner pays a company to put up those reviews because shes overly concerned potential customers will find out how horrible her business really is. She's a psychopath that screams and rants at her employees throughout the day, complains about the customers then smile in their faces when they come in, shes cheap so she hires incompetent staff that have no idea how to take care of animals...I would NEVER board my pets here! She only sees dollar signs when she sees your pets, be wary!!!!

Mixed feelings

I've previously worked here. Nothing short of hell. Must have thick skin to last here. Owner is always complaining and there is rarely ever a 'good day'. Referring to another review most is true but I will say, although the employees are verbally abused I never once saw the owner or employees yell at or abuse the animals. The animals are well taken care of and the cats that live there seemed to be clean. One of the groomers clearly loves the cats as her own and took very good care of them as far as I saw. Although the owner is hard to deal with, her and her employees take very good care of the animals. I've seen dogs that others grooming shops would NEVER groom because of their behavior on the owners table and she ALWAYS nice to them. I think it's amazing that when dogs go here the majority of them run to the receptionist or the kennel staff and are happy to be there.

DID NOT enjoy being employed here BUT if you want your pet to be properly taken care of and shown genuine love and affection this is the place to go.

Vip is the best in town

I just read the bad reviews that some people had to say about this shop, but I have to disagree, I have always boarded my dog here and colleen the owner is very accomadating. Ive known this shop since it first opened. To the ones that read this, working in the animal industry is not an easy task. I myself too deal with animals, and I know the negativity that comes along with dealing with people precious pets. You have to be more worried with chain grooming shops such as petco, etc. who dont take the time to really care for the animals. And I know for fact my dog gets special care at vip. So to anyone who has written a negative comment, you really need to think about the many factors that go along with our jobs: is my dog difficult to handle when im not around? do I have an issue with myself and fault others? Theres always two sides to a story people.....

I have read the reviews and I ...

I have read the reviews and I am shocked. I live in historic Vinings, and this is right down the road. I have had close friends that boarded their beloved pets there and were very happy. I just got my Princess groomed there last week, after a reccommendation from a neighbor and was more than pleased. I will admit I am a litlle nervouse to be boarding her there for the first time this weekend after reading these recent negative reviews, but I was left with no cause for concern after the visit last week.....

I just want to let everyone know that this is the worst dog groomer I have ever been to! I took my 1 year old toy poodle Starbrite here for a groom after moving out of the city to smyrna and asked for a standard poodle cut tight around the legs short on the body and long on the head and ears. Simple enough I would have thought but what was done to him was the exact opposite, they shaved his entire body and did not follow my directions at all. After seeing starbrite I realized that they must have not ever groomed a poodle before. I have added some photos of the clipper burn he got on his face as well as the cut on his toe. I will never take any of my pets here again and if you Love your animal you would not either.

Terrific care and customer service

We've been taking our 4 year old Peek-a-Poo to VIP Pets for the past 2 years for boarding and grooming. Every time we walk through the door, the staff greets our dog by name and knows him well. They truly like and care about him--I completely trust the staff. The facility is small, but I think the service and care make up for it!

Terrible Customer Service and Poor Treatment of Dog

We took our dog to VIP 5 or 6 times under the strong recommendation of our vet. She is a small, 14-year-old dog who hates to be bathed and groomed, but we had a groomer in the past who did a wonderful job (unfortunately, that groomer retired). VIP complained from the beginning that our dog was difficult, and each time we would ask if we should take her to another groomer, but they said they could take care of her. This last time, we brought her to VIP at 8:30am after reminding them--they already knew--that it was best to groom her early in the morning so she wouldn't be anxious and that she needed to be muzzled to make things easier. NINE HOURS later, we received a phone call saying our dog had not been bathed or groomed because they were unable to do so.

When I expressed my displeasure upon picking her up and finding that her back was partially and asymmetrically shaved, the groomer in charge told me "I don't have to listen to this," and began walking away as soon as I started talking. I have never been treated this way at any business. What bothers me even more than the way they treated me, though, was that my 14-year-old dog was made to sit for 9 hours--after we brought her first thing in the morning--to go through that experience. This is absolutely unacceptable and the worst business practice I have ever come across, particularly in the animal world. Even in the previous visits, the attitude of the groomers was decidedly negative, and they never did a very good job anyway.

NO ONE should take their pet to VIP.

Worst Kennel Experience EVER

I boarded my dog for one weekend and had a HORRIBLE experience with the Collier location. My dog actually had physical wounds on him when I picked him up and had to be taken to the vet. He had multiple scabbed over, swollen wounds on his head. It took several calls to the manager to try to find out what happened, and the best response I received was that he must have bumped his head on his crate. Unacceptable. My dog reeked of urine, and I did not get his bed and toys back. I would NEVER take my dog there again, and I would absolutely NEVER recommend that anyone else take their dog to this kennel.

The BEST animal care in Atlanta

Personal care is automatic. The staff goes beyond to make the customer and the pet at home. I was happy to have the 24 hour person on hand in case anything happens. Worth the travel.
