You could have had a V-8. The Urban Grind is a coffeeshop turned event space past its prime and unable to keep up with growth of West Midtown. New bratty barista in the mornings takes the ambiance away from what was a nice compliment to the nationally known coffeeshop down the street. Its not the place for coffee, but they do have good events. Old achool staff are nice. New staff need their diaper changed. Drip and Revelator are better choices for tgose who enjoy the essence of a coffeeshop. Check food inspection numbers at the Urban Grind and the last time they has an inspection.

I wish more people came in here because I get worried not enough do to keep the place in business. Every time I come in the woman (who I assume is the owner) is so sweet when I order! They have custom indulgent coffee drinks all the way down to the basics. It's a nice break from my usual Starbucks, although they take a little more time, this is a great place to relax and also support a small, local business. Also, I didn't notice until a few months ago but they filmed part of Being Mary Jane outside of here! Neat.
