There is a 2 drink minimum. I didn't kno, and was arrested after not having enough cash on me. I tried to explain to the owner n cops that my bank card was frozen bc of some unauthorized activity. Embarrassing night in front of my lady friend. smh

We went to this comedy club for a friend's birthday. The club has several show times, and it even runs into the late night. There is a line at the beginning of each show. There is a very urban feel to this location. Laughter is the key to my heart!

This is a good place to get a GREAT laugh! I'm not a big fan for getting lost down town, but I have enjoyed finding my way to this club to laugh til I cried. If you're looking for a great laugh, you NEED to be in the house!

Don DC Curry was too funny! This place was packed full! Make sure you go early to get a seat..all the seats were good and you can see the stage from any table.

Friday nights - packed, non-stop laughs. I haven't been to them all but so far, this is the best comedy club in Atlanta.

Great place. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff is very friendly & helpful & polite. Their waitresses are beautiful ! And the comedians (especially the host) are very funny and entertaining. The menu though is very limited & average. And a night there ends up being a bit pricey since in addition to admission there is a 2 item minimum per person . But overall it's a great night out

The Best Comedy Club in The City! I have been known to cry and nearly pee on myself at this place. All the big name black comics have been here. Uptown is like a therapy for me. When I'm down in the dumps I come here and always leave feeling 10x better.

My first time to in a comedy club, it was really crowded but for a first time experience I had a lot of fun! My stomach hurt so bad from laughing! Esau Mcgraw was the headliner and he was hilarious! drinks and service was good. I will Definitely return!

I went online to see who was your headliner for the July 5th because I had friends and family in from out of town. While I was online I began to read all the horrible reviews UCC was receiving regarding their customer service, quality of food and drinks, and the two item minimum misunderstandings. Since reading all these terrible reviews and having about 10 people going with me, I wanted to call ahead and make sure things had changed and that there would not be any misunderstands. I informed the young lady who answered that I was wanting to purchase tickets for full price as not to have my guests harassed or forced to purchase a 2 items, as customers with FREE tickets. She first said that if I purchase tickets then I would not have a 2 item minimum. I asked her the total cost of tickets and what would be included. She said it only covered the entrance into the club, and I said that would be fine. I just don't want my guests hassled over purchases if I pay for us to get in. She then said they would have to buy 2 items. I asked again to clarify. I said I would be paying full price for 10 people, which is $25 to $35 per person, and you think you still forcing us to buy drinks just like others who got in on FREE tickets? She said yes and I said I might as well get the free tickets then, then she started to get rude and sarcastic, saying you can try and that she don't believe UCC getting bad reviews. I told her she needs to go online cause there were many, and that I can get free tickets from Creative Loafing or the radio station and I knew a couple of comedians who performed there and has free tickets. She said I know an awful lot not to work at the club. At that point I reliezed that if the phone service was that bad then the customer service inside the club would probably be just as bad or worst. Too bad your venue has to miss out on upfront guaranteed $350 but I work for a AT&T which prides itself on customer service, and I will be damned if I am going to spend that type of money for bad and rude customer service... Why do Black establishments always think it is ok to treat their customers to bad service and think people are going to continue to come back.

LOL

Uptown is a good place to visit for some good comedy. It does get crowded so get there early. The comics are up close and personal. There is also an order minimum, so be prepared to order something from the menu.
