These carriers... Man, they know what they're doing. Where are the stamps? Right here, sir. How do I address something to Pakistan? Like this, sir. How much does this package weigh? Put it on the scale, sir. How long will it take to get this to NYC if I ship next-day air? Tomorrow, sir. Can I return these old, leaky batteries in this envelope? No, sir. Can you make a silly face? No, sir, I cannot make a silly face. His face was silly, though.

If you have to go to the post office, this is the one to go to. Two or more employees are always on duty, and they also have a self-help kiosk to buy stamps or mail small packages. Not closed for lunch like some other post offices nearby!

Yep, just adding my voice to t...

Yep, just adding my voice to the choir of extremely frustrated "customers" of this Broadview Post Office. I've lived in many different neighborhoods in Atlanta over more than 20 years and have NEVER had ongoing issues with packages NOT getting delivered.

In the most recent episode, I literally had to lodge a formal complaint with USPS and the package was finally re-delivered on the 5th request. Now, I'm having deja vu...I have 2 packages that show as having been attempted to be delivered - and just like last time, there was no notice left - even though the online tracking detail says otherwise.

In all of these instances, the packages in question are the most "garden variety" first class shipments that do not even require signature. And these are very small packages that easily fit into my extra large mailbox.

I'm generally the farthest thing from a conspiracy theorist but IMO, it's either something sinister going on or outright incompetence.

I thought our abysmal service was unique! I have just filed a formal complaint about the mail service we are receiving in Morningside. Our first incident was for an item transferred from UPS to the local post office using their Readypost system. Though online tracking showed the package as "delivered" the Broadview office could only tell me it was delivered to my zip. There are only four homes on my street. I created a flyer asking neighbors to go through their mail and return my package to my box if found. The ring was never recovered. I was told there was no way the Post Office could determine who actually received my package. The second incident was this week. Online tracking showed "ready to be picked up" Saturday, April 20. I called the Broadview office Monday, April 22 to ask why the package was not delivered with my mail on Saturday and was told to await delivery, the package was "probably on the carrier's truck." On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, online showed package as "delivered". I still have not received it. I work from home and check mail every day. These incidents have caused distress and added expense since I had to reorder the ring in the first package! I do not intend to reorder the bracelet in the second. What is going on with the Broadview Post Office!!

This Post office on Broadview ...

This Post office on Broadview Station is horrible!!!!!!!!! I scheduled a re-delivery four times and the woman there was horrible she yelled at me and made herself look like an absolute fool. She's such a joke and has no common sense or intelligence. I don't know who put her in charge but she needs to step down such an awful and ugly personality and its not right for customer service. My package was supposed to be delivered the 9th and its the 26th and I still don't have it. I can't give this place a star because its just horrible. but it made me but I repeat it gets not one star!!!

BAD, BAD, BAD customer service...

BAD, BAD, BAD customer service.

I recently got a P.O. Box at this sad excuse for a post office after months of having problems with packages being misdirected or otherwise lost by my carrier. In the last two weeks alone, they have neglected to place any kind of indication that I have a package to be picked up at the counter in my box. The only way I knew I had a package was because the sender's tracking number indicated it. They found the first package, and the clerk said she didn't know what happened. Just glad they found it. Not so lucky with the next one, unfortunately. I called the post office and spoke with the manager, Aisha House. What a joke. She just kept insisting that the package was delivered to the box. I kept telling her that it had not been, and she had a hundred excuses, which all ended with the package being left in the box. I had several packages in the box that day, and she even suggested that I must have made a mistake and I actually had it. It went on and on. She talked over me, causing me to raise my voice a decibel, which cause her to admonish me, by raising HER voice, that I was not to raise my voice to her. End result--no package--too bad. Get over it. We went around and around with her finally putting me on interminable hold after asking me to hold repeatedly, presumably to take a breath before she went postal.

When I hear about the postal services woes, I can't help but laugh. With service like this, and we've all experienced it, it is no wonder they are going under. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

A Word of WARNING! I stopped ...

A Word of WARNING! I stopped by the Broadview Station Post office last Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2011 to drop off some letters to be mailed. I was only inside the post office for a very short time, but long enough for a ruthless thief to smash my car window and steal my purse and another bag from inside my car. It took the robber only a few seconds to damage my car and steal my belongings, but it is taking me MUCH longer to resolve the problems that he/she caused! BEWARE of the parking lot at this post office! donna gensler
