I've had sushi all over the world and I was blown away by the MF Sushibar. The fish was perfect and the presentation blew me away. It's not inexpensive, however the quality of the food and the presentation justify the cost in my humble opinion. I would have paid money just to sit and watch Chef Ito work his magic – a true master of the art.

If you are in search of an upscale salon with all the bells and whistles, this is the place to be. This urban chic salon is not only stylish it has the quality to go along with it. As you step into the salon, you are greeted with friendly and professional staff. There is mellow music playing gently in the background. The stylist are very knowledgeable about hair care, especially for women of color who choose to go natural. Their stylist cater to people who wear locs, straight, twists, braids, or even previously chemical treated or artificially colored hair. In search of a new salon, I was referred by a coworker that had nothing but positive things to say about this salon at Ponce as well as the Lenox location. My hair was severley damaged from use of relaxers, but with patience and consistent visits to this salon, my hair is 100% healthy and natural again. Kudos to this place. They use really nice products like brumble and brumble and design lines. Now what are YOU waiting for? Just remember to book your appointments by phone or online in advance. And by all means, don't be late. They have the appointment set just for you. They will not keep you waiting long and the turn around time is very reasonable for most services.

It was a great experience having my hair done in this salon. They made a great impression on me. They took my dull broke-off virgin hair and turned it into silk. My hair feels wonderful and I have no perm. I still feel like I am dreaming I have never been so happy. I look good and feel good. The only thing about this place is that it is hard to get an appointment. They are booked solid. Please take your hair there if you can get an appointment you want be sorry..

My first visit was a consultation. Almost an hour after my scheduled appointment is when someone finally came to speak with me. She sat and talked with me in the waiting area which I thought was unusual. Even after this strange consultation I still scheduled an appointment. This because the salon was recommended by two friends. My actual appointment went from bad to worse. The cosmetologist was nice but she didn't know how to operate the equipment (steam machine) that had been spoken of so highly. After someone else gave her some assistance she completed my services. $125 later I was ready to leave the salon. My decision not to return came after I found a personal item was missing and it took much "fussing" about it before one of the employees (who I had asked about the item) tried to return it to the receptionist without my seeing her. Then to top the day off, my hairstyle did not last through the remainder of the evening. It was puffy and looked as if I had styled it myself by the time that I arrived at the function I was attending that evening. I will NEVER go there again!

Excellent service. I have very thick hair and even with that I am in an out within 3hrs. I never have to wait when I get there and everyone is so friendly.
