It took the movers slighly over 5 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment, which ended up costing me over $400. When I initially called, they estimated it would take 3hrs, having been provided with a description of the furniture, number of boxes, floor level, elevator/stairs, and distance of the move. Given their hourly rate, I estimated it would cost $275 $300 at most. However, I was grossly mistaken. Aside from being dissatisfied with the time and cost of the move, once I began setting, I noticed damage to the furniture. Another item for consideration, they were also 1 hr late from the scheduled start time.



I read all of the reviews online related to SR Delivery prior to calling and setting up an appointment. So, I was expecting an "efficient and careful" move, as one reviewer described. However, this was not the case. (I can agree with the reviewer's statement that they are friendly.)



The lesson learned from this experience, is that you get what you pay for. Although their hourly rates are less expensive then the well-known moving companies, in total you will end up paying more.
