This is my second HVAC unit. I have currently paid out over $1,000 for defective parts.

This privately held company hides behind their C.S team who just want to wear you out. Do not purchase from them. You can't even get in touch with their Corporate Headquarters.

Don't Buy any Rheem product. They make junk.
AC unit under warranty had to replace coil cost $350.00 for labor. Water heater under warranty had to be replaced cost $595.00

Can't get any Help with this A/C unit. I have called and called No Help do not Buy A Rheem. Their customer service was very unprofessional

Shameless. Water heater with flame sensor problem. Apparently company was aware but they don't fix them. Company waits until cust has an issue and no hot water. Then authorizes a band aid fix hoping that will be the end. But mine broke less than 7days later. Now they are sending the part. Of course they couldn't send over the weekend. First time without hot water 2 days. Second time...still waiting on day 4

Rheem released an "Investigative Bulletin SS1-001 General Information" on May 5, 2009 about the Pilot Tubes breaking on split system heat pump reversing valves. These valves were used on all Rheem and Ruud Cube style heat pumps. The reversing valves were manufactured in China. The Rheem and Ruud heat pumps were all manufactured in Rheem and Ruud's Mexican plants. If you had a or have a Rheem or Ruud Cube style heat pump and the reversing valve has failed because of the pilot tubes breaking, then you need to file a complaint with the US Government's Product Consumer Safety Commission at https://www.saferproducts.gov/CPSRMSPublic/Incidents/ReportIncident.aspx. If you have one of these Rheem and Ruud Cube style heat pumps, then get ready to eventually have to pay for a major repair on the heat pump or have to all together replace the Rheem or Ruud Cube style heat pump.
