I was called by one of the assistants today telling me that Dr. Adams needed to speak with me urgently. I was told that Dr. Adams would be calling me immediately. Fearing bad news I waited for his call. After one hour and no call, I called Dr. Adams office and am connected with his assistant who had called me. I was told that Dr. Adams had gone home for the day. I asked for more information about the reason for Dr. Adams wanting to speak with me and the assistant began to be extremely rude and insulting with that typical black ghetto attitude and told me that she couldn't tell me anything and that I'd have to wait until the next day. I asked to speak with somebody else in the office and was hung up on. APPARENTLY THESE BLACK RACIST ASSISTANTS AT PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS OF ATLANTA DON'T WANT WHITE PATIENTS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT ALL WHITE PATIENTS GO SOMEPLACE ELSE WHERE WHITE PEOPLE ARE WELCOME!

The problem with Primary Care ...

The problem with Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta isn't with my doctor. The problem is with the office staff. I have had problems having prescriptions refilled on more that one occasion. In the current episode, there have been 3 attempts (all unsuccessful) to get my prescription refilled:

Attempt #1 the mail order pharmacy that my health insurance uses called Primary Care Phisicians and requested two prescriptions to be refilled: No response from PCP Atlanta

Attempt #2 I left a voice message (it's almost impossible to talk to a live human at PCP Atlanta) explicitly requesting two prescriptions to be called into the mail order pharmacy: PCP Atlanta called ONE prescription into the WRONG pharmacy

Attempt #3 I left another voice message and asking them to call me: No response

This is not an isolated incident. If it were just bad customer service, I might be able to live with it, but not being able to get a prescription refilled simply not acceptable and that is the reason for the one star rating.

CONSUMERS BEWARE!

It took a long time for me to convince my fiancee' to go get a physical, now after this awful experience I wish we had gone elsewhere! The medical office assistant was very rude and unprofessional and Dr. Weeks was just as rude. When she called my fiancee's name she never called "Mr or his full name, she called him by his first name. This is not proper office professionalism, especially when meeting someone for the first time. She weighed him next, with his shoes on then escorted us to the exam room. Never once did she introduce herself or give her name, if she had it would certainly be included in this review. My fiancee has a very joking and laid back personality so he was giving her funny responses, she at one point looked up and rolled her eyes. I told him to behave and responded that his diet was good! She rudely told me " she does not have to listen to me she has to write down what the patient says! When she took his blood pressure, I asked if she a larger blood pressure cuff( he has large biceps and the cuff was popping open and he has been getting elevated blood pressure readings because of improper fitting cuffs. We also went a week and a half ago on a Sunday to another office which was not taking new patient's, and the PA in the office also told him to make sure to have his pressure checked with a proper fitting cuff) I tried to explain this to the young lady and she became very verbally abusive and yelled " this is the only size that they have in the office and that it did not matter what size the cuff was it would not affect the reading, then she stormed out of the office and went and asked to have me removed! I asked her what was with her nasty attitude, and she stormed out of the room. I found the nearest office available with a doctor in it and it turned out to be the doctor who was going to see my fiancee', Dr. Weeks and he turned out to be just as rude as the medical office assistant. Needless to say, I left for my fiancee's sake so he would get his exam but believe me we will not return. I wanted to see if this office was as good as we were told by a friend of mine and I was looking for a new PCP myself, we do not know too much about this practice, but after this experience, we won't go back! It is very sad to see fellow health care professionals act in this manner, I failed to mention that I am a registered nurse, and have been in health care for eighteen years, and I have never had such a terrible experience as the one we had in this office. When my fiancee informed her that I was a nurse, then her nasty attitude changed. Shame on her and this office, it should not matter after the fact that I was a nurse, everyone who walks in that office deserves respect and excellent health care and service. We are the consumers and we can take our business elsewhere and that is exactly what we plan to do.
