Dr. Braswell is laid back and funny. Those are the pros. However, office visits require long waits. I've never been there and waited less than 45 mins... I don't think I've ever waited less than an hour. That's JUST for vitals. After vitals you go back to the waiting room and wait some more. Finally, you're put in a room where you, again, wait some more. At LEAST another 30-45 minutes.

I switched to Dr Braswell during the last two or so months of my pregnancy because I wanted a doctor who I could get comfortable with. Where I was before rotated doctors and so there was no guarantee as to who would deliver me. I expressed this concern. However, I soon learned there was no reassurance at Dr Braswell's office either. My first experience at her office was that I got there and was told that she was out on delivery. I waited several hours for her to get back . My second experience was that she was on vacation and I was being seen by the PA. There was another occasion where I came in and was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because she was out doing a delivery. However my question is why didn't the office staff call me before I left work early and came all the way to the office? The times I did actually see Dr Braswell she was pleasant enough but always seems to be in a hurry. She would answer questions but it always felt like she was answering them with one foot out out the door. Sometimes she literally was walking toward the door while answering. Not to mention one time when she gave me results from a test they did and seemed to blaze over them while verbally implying that I already knew them. How would I have? I even had to be the one to ask about the results. Had I not I wouldn't have found out important info about my pregnancy. I had to ask about everything. How was my urine sample? How is my bp? Where I transferred from they told me everything they were doing and so that's what I was used to. I think Dr. Braswell is too busy. Part of this could also be because the office only seems to open Monday through Thursday. Is this the norm for private practices? Doesn't seem normal to close every Friday and for the one Doctor to be off every weekend. Needless to say, I still ended up being delivered by a perfect stranger. This being my 1st pregnancy, it was important that I felt comfortable but I didn't.

As far as current experiences. I contacted Dr Braswell's office on several occasions because I had a concern & question about some post delivery symptoms I was still having and wanted to verify if it was a true concern. Again I felt as if she was way too busy to give me proper attention. The receptionist also made it seem as if my call didn't deserve a direct conversation with Dr. Braswell, all of which would have taken 3 minutes. It appears that once you deliver you are no longer a concern. After several times calling and excuses from the receptionists, I still have yet to receive a call back. I just gave up. All of these perfect reviews that she's getting, I'm not buying. If I were to base my review only on personality then, yes, Dr Braswell would get 5 stars. But at the end of the day, I rather have a snob who at least took good care of me and ensured that everything went well pre and post delivery.

I have went to Dr Braswell's o...

I have went to Dr Braswell's office twice for services. Went last week for my annual exam paid over $250.00 for office visit for annual pap smear & annual std tests. Paid for each test, ask the nurse practitioner that admister my services when will the results come back and can I get a letter stating my negative hiv results she stated yes they will be back in 2 days. Call the office today to see if my results were in was told yes they were in but I had to pay $50.00 for the Dr Braswell time to give me my test results. Mind you I have never seen Dr Braswell, the nurse did all my work. I have paid for my test- they were not done for FREE and now you tell me I have to pay more money just to get my results. I don't have insurance so I pay out of pocket, $252 is very expensive for the nurse practitioner to service me- I could of went to clinic or planned parenthood for the nurse practitioner and paid under $75.00. I paid for my test and should get a copy of what I paid for. The front desk is very rude. Also, the techs are not great. My arm was bruised for several days from her taking blood. I will be taking with the medical board. Stay far away from the gyn office of Dr Braswells. All my previous doctors I have met and had them service me. My last gyn stop practing and referred clients to Dr Braswell. I'm sure he doesn't know her service is not top shelf. I'm therefore looking for a new gyn doctor. I will also be filing an compliant with the Georgia medical board. Don't pay for any extra serivces with Dr Braswell office unless you want to be ripped off and have to pay just to get your results. I advised the front office staff- that the dr didn't have to talk with me so she didn't waste her precious time that cost $50.00 to hand me a piece of paper. I asked for the Dr to put my RESULTS in a envelope and leave at the front desk for me to pick up they stated no I had to pay $50.00.... Is Dr Braswell office looking for extra money by ripping off their patients. Beware of this gyn office.

Awesome

I was referred to Dr. Braswell by a close family member, who recently had a baby. She spoke nothing, but great things about the office. I was a first time mom and did not know where to start. My first visit was inviting and once I was seen by Dr. Braswell she made me feel comfortable and welcome. She is really sweet and takes the time to thoroughly explain each procedure. Most of all I did not just feel like a patient I felt like family. My biggest concern was once it was take to delivery would she be there? I know many mother's could relate going to all those visits and time for the delivery there doctors could not find them. She was there for me 100% and waited for my son LANGSTON to be born thanks so much too the whole practice. When I do it all over again, their is no doubt I will be seeing her.
