I hired 2 men, everything was fine at the beginning. But when unpacking I realized that one of my boxes was missing valuable items. I tried to contact them for a fair resolution but nothing. I just filed a report against them.

No accountability business practices. Had an appointment scheduled days in advance and no one ever showed up, let alone call. No one even called to apologize for not showing up. Sent an email and same thing happened, no response. You website says stress free move in atlanta, that's a joke! If my last day to move out had been 10-30 you would have left me high and dry, your company embodies the reason people hate hiring movers.

Customer service for this company is absolutely horrible. They are very rude and have no respect for their clientele. They were over 3 hours late arriving to my home and when asked if there would be any type of compensation for their tardiness, the representives and movers proceeded to become very unruly. I will not be asking them for services again nor will I recommend anyone.

Do Not use. They do not show up on time. I gave up after three and half hours past their two hour window time, They kept telling me the driver would call. You have to leave messages because they do not answer the phone. They are rude and do not understand guest service. They would not even apologize for wasting my entire day waiting on them. Do yourself a favor and stay away

Well I decided to use Pick Up and Go movers for my move. Well the first time went off without a hitch. Guys came in and moved furniture from my home to my storage unit. I was very impressed and gave the guys a generous tip. I needed to move some items again and decided to try them again. This was the move from Hell. The agreed upon time was between 5-7. They called at 6:03 and said they were on the way. I confirmed t... view morehe address. They said they would be there within the hour. Well they called later and said they were in Covington. I told them I was not in Covington but off 285 like I stated before. Well they arrived after 8:30 and loaded my belongings from the storage unit and headed to my apt. Got to my apartment and unloaded a few items and then told me they needed payment for 3 hours. They told me that they were not gonna unload anything else until I paid for the estimated hours. They needed $275 plus $20 for the shrink wrap. I didn't have change so I went to get change for a hundred dollar bill. When I returned he wanted to explain the policy. Told him I had never heard of a policy where you have to pay before movers unload. This wasn't the procedure for the first move. Never again will I use Jack leg movers that will hijack my furniture and demand payment before they unload. That is what you get for trying to save a few dollars. Oh they completed the move in 2 hours and 10 minutes, but charged me for 3 hours. Do not trust these guys. Not licensed with the GPSC.

I don’t normally go to this extreme when I receive poor service, but I am in the process of filing complaints and seeking remedies via all of the following vehicles:

• Online reviews

• Consumer action channels for all the local television and radio broadcasts

• Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC)

• US Department of Transportation (US DOT)

• Georgia Secretary of State

• Georgia Department of Revenue

• Atlanta Better Business Bureau

12/28/2012

I hired Pick Up & Go Movers to assist with my residential move. The movers themselves were personable and competent.

1/4/2013

As I was getting settled in I noticed a piece of my furniture was damaged, so I filed an online claim via their web site.

1/7/2013 and 1/17/2013

I contacted them and spoke with someone named Tonya I think (maybe she said Kenya--either way they wouldn’t provide last names though specifically requested) to let them know I had not received any acknowledgement of my claim.

2/12/2013

I contacted them a third time and spoke with someone named Kenya (Plunkett-I had to obtain the last name from their US DOT registration information) who told me to expect an e-mail response within 48 hours. I told her if I didn’t receive an e-mail, I would contact the manager.

2/13/2013

I received a forward of an e-mail acknowledgment dated 1/8/2013 with the following information in the string:

*****begin string*****

Hello- your claim was received on 1-4-13 and processed on 1-8-13 when we replied to you (see below). You have one month to reply to the claim and then your claim is closed. Your claim was closed on 2-8-13.

Thanks- from the Pick Up & Go Movers team!!

Hello,

We apologize for the damage that has taken place during your move. Please read the attached claims process. Also, we will need pictures and receipts. If you do not have any receipts we will need to know how much you paid for the item and the year purchased.

Thanks- from the Pick Up & Go Movers team!!

Check out our website at http://www.pickupandgomovers.com

There was no “claims process” attachment as referenced.

Additionally, I tried to call the manager, but spoke with someone named Daniel who told me he doesn’t handle claims. When I requested direct contact information (name and telephone number) for someone who does handle claims, he told me to respond to the e-mail.

So I immediately replied to the e-mail string to request my claim be reopened.

Not enough space to share all, so fast forward to today:

2/21/2013

I received the following e-mails in response to my request to speak with someone and my second claim submission:

*****begin string*****

Good morning,

You have 30 days to make a claims. Once the claim is processed you have 30 days to respond. When you respond with the information needed (within the 30 days), we then have 60-90 days to complete your claim. We received your claim on 1-4-13, you received an email and instructions on 1-8-13, you did not respond and your claim was closed on 2-8-13.

Thanks- from the Pick Up & Go Movers team!!

So I read the reviews AFTER I ...

So I read the reviews AFTER I scheduled my move with them and was, of course, very skeptical. However, they were absolutely AMAZING! They came right on time and call to say they were on their way, they were quick and courteous, they finished the move in less time than I planned... less than 2 hours to move a 2 bedroom townhome to a 2 bedroom apartment. No extra fees or charges, everyone hustled and kept busy the entire time. I was completely impressed and will DEFINITELY use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

These movers were HORRIBLE!!!!...

These movers were HORRIBLE!!!!! I would not recommend them to anyone. They showed up three hours late and made me miss my appointment with the gas people. I had to spend three days in my home without heat because of it.

While the movers themselves were quite personable, later I discovered they scratched my computer screen, broke a valuable painting, and hooked my washing machine up wrong. Because it was days later (due to no heat in my house in December) it took a few days to unpack, They did not want to pay for the damage.

To top it off I gave them a tip because I thought they had handled my things with care. If you care anything about your things I repeat DO NOT use these movers.

Responding to the business: I have no reason to lie about your business. The movers came to Boulder Ridge apartments. I still have my receipt and I most certainly contacted the office about my damaged goods. Every bad review can't be a lie. Especially when they all basically say the same thing. I don't like being called a liar and will scan and post my receipt if I have to. Once again if you care about your things DO NOT use these movers.

If this is true, please call me. We have not received any information pertaining to anything like this. We had serveral moves on the 30th, but Destiny was not one of them. Also, looking back at the paperwork for that day, we only had 3 moves we were 30 minutes to an hour late for.

I too saw the add on Barrett P...

I too saw the add on Barrett Parkway by my home. I first chose "two men and a truck" but money was tight so I went with this company. They were about 100.00 cheaper or so.

THEY WERE WONDERFUL!!! I kid you not!!! I am a single women and I was scared that they would take advantage...They were kind and polite. In fact it was a Sunday and they were to show up at 9am...they showed up a little past 7am....(FOOTBALL SUNDAY) they wanted to get home and watch thier game!!! Good for them!

By 10am...they were finished......move me from a third story walk up to my my new home 2 miles away...unpacked...didnt break or scratch a thing. I beleive my movers were CHRIS and Issac...Loved them....worth the tip.....

Ask for those two gents. CHRIS...very professional!

Very happy lady and I will recommend them to my friends. I never review anybody on the internet...but if you did a good job then you did a good job and should be reckonised for it. I do understand peoples hesitation with moving companies....

They even gave me funds back because they finished the move early....think I paid 220.00 (not exact) or something for the enire move and I had a lot of stuff!!!! Heavy pieces.

I used this team for a move aw...

Winners......

I used this team for a move awhile back and I thought they did a great job. I do suggest that they work on the management skills just a tab bit but the rate, movers and email corresponder makes up for it!! I guess for a small company it is a lot to take on.

I have seen other reviews that were not the best and others that were excellent but I say judge for yourself. I am glad that I did.

They are winners to me....

AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS!...

AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS!!! Rude, unapologetic and totally incompetent managers. Brandon (one of the actual movers) is a good guy...but, his boss Justin is USELESS. 4 HOURS LATE to pickup! By the time they got everything done...it was too late to drop off at my storage facility. Had to keep everything on the truck overnight and promised a 6am drop off the next morning...finally heard from them at 10am and finally got them to drop off my stuff at 2pm...8 HOURS LATE.

claimed iconBusiness Response01/07/2012

Hey Ryan- yes we were running very late for your move due to another customers move running over because we were not goven the proper information about her move. We did call you and kept you informed about what was going on. We did tell you we would deliver the next day, but did not tell you a time because we were already booked for the day. Although we hate to loose a customer, when we told you we would be late, you had the option to cancel your move.

Pick Up & Go is not Licensed nor Insured

Must be listed with the GPSC to be licensed with Georgia. They think the public is stupid. Here is a list of licensed and insured movers. Pick up and go is not on the list. Click the link to see Pick and Go is not a legal, licensed and insured mover. So whatever they showed that customer was fake or the whole statement from that customer was just Pick up and Go trying to cover their tails because their not licensed or insured. Don't be Fooled! Cheaper is not always good!

And Yes this is from a Licensed and Insured Mover. It's simple, check the following link for the list. List are updated daily.

Must Be A Competitor

When I asked them for their license and insurance information, it was provided to me. They have moved me and nothing came up damaged or missing. The movers were friendly and knew what they were doing.

I say that this must be false or that you are a competitor trying to take their business.

Great Service

We did not know what to think when we called this moving service, but there prices were cheap so we decided to book with them. When they came the movers were professional and courteous. They knew exactly what to do- they padded and shrink wrapped the furniture and electronics and also asked if we wanted anything else done for protection at NO ADDITIONAL COST!!! The price was right but the service was even better!!!

I recommend you to use them!!!

Liars, & Misleading! You have to have valid DOT authority in order to legally move someone. Just ask them about this, they don't care. If they get hurt on your property they will sue you. They do not pre screen their employees. Might hire felons and thieves. BEWARE
