I am a 56 month lung cancer survivor and am grateful for the referral to Dr. John Moore, who performed my surgery. Beginning with my first visit and including all my follow-up visits, I have always been treated with the upmost care and respect from Dr. Moore and his entire staff. I cannot imagine better medical attention or caring support from anyone else. I am thankful to have overcome cancer and to have a second opportunity to live a fully engage life.

I recently went through a fight with cancer that led me to become a patient at Atlanta Cardiac and Thoracic Surgical Associates. Needless to say, it was some scary stuff. But thanks to a great referral from my oncologist, I hit the jackpot with Dr. Moore and his staff. They were caring, considerate, and friendly, yet professional. For me, it’s important to be comfortable with my doctor and his staff from the minute I walk into the waiting room. And I was.

I have always felt that the staff is a reflection of the doctor. They are the first people you have contact with and in a health care setting you expect the staff to be caring and considerate. The staff at this office has not learned this. I waited for almost 3 hours to get some test results for my sick father. The office manager, Denette, would roll her eyes at me whenever I would ask her how much longer we would have to wait. She made such a show that one other patient in the office asked me, "what is her deal?" I did try to complain to the doctor but he said he had no control over her actions! We asked for a copy of our records and promise never to go back there! My father already has the stress of knowing he has to fight cancer, he doesn't need the stress of also having to fight with lousy front office staff too!
