Thumbs Down

I would have to say that Sushi is amongst my favorite foods, and I appreciated the atmosphere of Nickemoto's. But I felt deeply discriminated against and most of all "disrepected", for a better term from my server on three different occasions after dining there. It hurts to feel that race would play such a major role in todays society, but still truthfully it does. Regretfully, I didn't record any of the servers names wanting to just let things go and just forget about it. I realize that that wasn't the correct way to handle the situation. You should discuss disrepect when it happens. Later, after calling and speaking with the manager on duty that night "Barbara", it was clear she could not be concerned.

Yes It's Trendy...Yes, It's Good

High-tech decor with heart-pounding beats isn't for everyone. Hey, the place is in Midtown, so what do you exect. Also, it's not the best sushi restaurant you can find either (see MF Sushibar).

But this is a highly competent restaurant with some exceptional Asian-inspired dishes. The yellowfin tuna cheek appetizer(cooked) is by far the best thing on the menu. The sizziling fish is always a crowd pleaser. I always take out-of-town guests to the restaurant, and they're always glad I did. Expect to pay $15-$20 per entree and about $8-$10 for an appetizer. Also, the restaurant has $1 sushi on the weekdays.
