I had an 11:00am appt to discuss possible surgery with Dr Okoli. I had all my new patient paperwork completed but arrived early anyway (10:25am). I was checked in promptly and waited to be called. At 11:20, as I was going to the receptionist desk to ask when the doctor would be ready, I heard another patient, "Mr B", ask about his appt with Dr Okoli. After talking with the receptionist, she confirmed and advised Mr B that I was scheduled first but he would be next. At 11:40, a nurse came and took both me and Mr B back to exam rooms. She said she would be back in 2 minutes to get my vitals. My wife and I then heard her go into the next room and take Mr B's vitals. At 12:00, I went into the hall and finally caught the nurse as she exited Mr B's room. I advised her that my appt was for 11:00 and it had now been an hour. I was nice enough about it. Even joking that it might not be the best time to take my blood pressure. She said she would be right in. At 12:15 she finally came back to take my vitals and I again expressed my frustration. A few minutes later, we could hear Dr Okoli go into Mr B's exam room. At 12:45, we could hear Dr Okoli laughing with the nurses at the nurses station. My wife went into the hall and saw the doctor go into yet another exam room. She asked the nurse why the doctor was in another exam room. The nurse told her that was a patient he was still working with. No, we heard that patient come in while he was still with Mr B. I don't blame the doctor. He just goes where they tell him. At 1:00pm, 2 hours after my appt time, I still hadn't seen the doctor. We left. If this was the level of attention I would have received as a surgical patient, I'm glad I never scheduled any procedure!

I called to schedule a 2-day appt for my newborn. The office staff was very nice and professional. I was told that the earliest appointment opening was the following week. However, since the hospital told me to follow-up with the doctor in 2 days, I was advised to leave a message for the nurse. I left a message and the nurse called me back within a couple of hours and my appointment was scheduled for the next day. During my visit, the staff was very nice, attentive and professional and Dr. Darden was outstanding! She was warm, concerned and thorough in her examinations. She took time to ask and answer questions and her bedside manner was impeccable. She saw my 10-year old daughter a week later and never wavered in the care she provided. I am well pleased with this office and the care they provide.

Don't take your child there. I have a seven month old, and I've called several times to speak with a nurse with concerns about my daughter. Never receive a call back. Secondly, I called to schedule a sick visit. I was told to call back in the morning to see if I can be squeezed in. Next, I scheduled her four month appt and received a appt card with the date and time. Well, when I called the office to reschedule the appt, I was told it wasn't in the system. Although the doctors are great, the office operations are problematic. My child deserves better care.

I scheduled an appt for my two children. I followed up on that appointment. I showed up today at the appointment time and was informed they had no knowledge of my appt. They didn't even have the Decency to "squeeze me in" despite that I took off work and drove 90 minutes to get an appt that was discussed several times. I have spoken with the scheduling and billing depts.. both of which have sounded less than professional at times. Keep searching for a dr. I wouldn't recommend this practice at all.
