I go to Heidi for Electrolysis and she’s awesome! Everyone in there is great! I would hide myself because my neck had so many hairs and dark discoloration! Since getting treatment, my discoloration has lightened up tremendously and I definitely don’t have a beard anymore 🙃. It’s actually changed the overall look of my face. I’d recommend this place for anyone!

Mishael is great. I've always had a problem with facial hair and as a dark-skinned black woman, I've tried everything--laser, depilatories, etc. I've done electrolysis with 2-3 different providers in the Atlanta area to no avail. I'm so grateful to Mishael for being honest and upfront and my results are amazing. I had in-growns, razor bumps, hyper-pigmentation--a true worst case scenario and I'm happy to say 80% of my hair is gone and my skin is quickly repairing itself from all the past damage and hair growth. Mishael is quiet but once you get to know her she warms up--talks just enough and not too much. She is professional, keeps appointments to the minute and her steady clientele is a testimony of her good work. I'm almost done and I am grateful to have my face back...please don't waste money with these others. Mishael knows her stuff!

Most of my life I have struggled with facial hair. I considered it a flaw that I would just have to deal with my whole life. As a African American women hair period has been a dilemma. The hair on top of my head wouldn't grow fast enough and the hair on my face couldn't stop growing fast enough. I had become the bearded lady. I tried everything from tweezing to waxing, using face creams, shaving, to later, heavy makeup to hide it and finally at age of 27 after being tormented and embarrassed by a family member pointing out my facial hair enough was enough. I went home got on computer searched for hours and days doing research for what actually could permanently remove facial hair for good. I even prayed to God for direction. As overwhelming as it was to find the best method and the best person for the job. I had enough of of letting embarrassing facial hair take over my life making me feel uncomfortable in front of people by seeing if they could see it or what they thought. So I was determined to get it right. This was the deal breaker. Finally after heavy research I found Michaels electrolysis center Ahoova Mishael was ready to see me within the same day and could do consultation and treatment same day as apt.my first session was 45 min and I saw results instantly after my 2 treatment it took 3 weeks for me to see hair grow back and the one that did was nothing like the coarse ones before. Each treatment gets better I am on my 6th and I went from a beard to a few strands that takes weeks to come back and the hair that do are barely noticeable and lighter. I use to touch my face and there would be scruffles and rough from the hair now I am no longer afraid for my husband to touch my face it's smooth as a babies bottom. It has been a few months now and 90% of the hair has not grown back. I am beyond excited and most of blessed and grateful for the hair to be gone. At last I am not scared for people to stare in my face for long periods of time and no more hiding my neck when the sun is out.

As someone who was at the beginning of a gender transition at the time I began my treatments at Mishael's Electrolysis I was very touched by Ahoova's supportive, understanding nature, and grateful for her incredible skill and expertise. I had a challenging combination of dense, coarse facial hair and very sensitive skin. Ahoova worked with great care, and around one year after I began facial electrolysis I was done (much faster than I expected). Since that time I've had almost no regrowth. My face is now smooth, soft, and feminine. I could not be happier with my results which have truly been life changing!



In fact, I was so pleased with my experiences and results the first time around that I'm now back having some other areas worked on by Carol. Once again, my experience at Mishael's Electrolysis is proving to be stellar!

I have two words to describe the services that I received from Ahoova - LIFE CHANGING. As a 38 year old woman with PCOS, I have had thick hair on my face since I was 13 or 14 years old. Over the years, I have had several experiences with electrolysis, some of them good some of them completely ineffective. Even the good experiences that I did have could in no way compare to the speed and effectiveness of the treatments that I received from Ahoova. In less than six months, I went from having to shave my face everyday, to not having to shave my face at all. I cannot say how amazed I am with the results, and how thankful that I am that I found Ahoova. My self-esteem has been restored and I feel like the woman I always was on the inside, but never thought I was able to fully be on the outside.

I was permanently scarred at this place. They turn the settings/ heat up too HIGH-causing OOZING sores that become POCK marks on your face. I was told that this scabbing is a "normal part of the process". It's not! After reading for days on the internet- many electrologists insist this form of butchery shouldn't be occurring.Thermolysis is not the best form of electrolysis for the face. They should have told me that. They should have turned down the setting on my second visit-having seen the damage done. However I was assured that these holes in my face would "close Up". Well after seeing 2 of the best plastic surgeons in Atlanta, these scars are permanent. They may be improved a bit but they are PERMANENT! What is the point of clearing facial hair, only to be left with face full of holes?

I did some reading online and learned about electrolysis and how it's a permanent hair removal method. Mishael's Electrolysis Center is the best. I tried another electrologist that was closer to me but she didn't do it correctly (she would pluck the hair forcefully instead of letting it come out on its own). It's very hard to find a good electrologist and Ahoova Mishael is one of those great ones. I live in another state and I come to see her because I haven't found any good electrologists where I live. I would recommend her to anyone who is tired of plucking, waxing and shaving all the time. As for the pain, if you've plucked and waxed before, then this isn't any different.



In the past I had tried laser hair removal but it didn't work, even though I was told I was a perfect candidate (lighter skin and very dark hair). I did 9 session and the hair still grew back with no reduction in hair at all. I wish I had learned about electrolysis before I did the laser hair removal.
