I've been eating sushi for 20+ years and this is hands down the best sushi ever! EVER! It's almost magical. We had Red Samurai roll, Dynasty roll, and several pieces of nigiri. The Hamachi Kama was awesome. You must try them yourself. Presented like you are the most important patron in the establishment.

I usually don't start a review by mentioning the service, but Daniel was hands down one of the best servers the Hubs and I have ever had. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and made our first visit to Eight an awesome experience. Two members of the management team also stopped by our table to chat for a moment, and they were very nice as well. I'd go back just for the service.

Fortunately, the food was delicious as well. We were super hungry so we tried the scallops (they really did sizzle), sea bass, Explosion roll, and the Westside Roll. Oh yeah, we also tried the calamari. The seafood was flavorful, and even the side order of rice was great. The sushi was tasty. We had a few of their cocktails as well, which were unique and pretty potent (as least they were for me).

The ambiance was cool, and I loved the decor.

I'm definitely glad they're in the neighborhood, and will be working my way to becoming a regular.

It seems that every time I come into Eight they roll out the red carpet to me. The restaurant is never usually full, which is good if you're on a date but at first seemingly awkward. Their nigiri and their ramen are to die for! The pricing is good for what it is, and their lunch specials are amazing food for a decent price. I love being able to walk downstairs to Eight.
