I was so very excited when I walked into the bakery to purchase my wedding cake. I had been a long time follower on instagram and saw the magnificent work they delivered. I KNEW this was where I wanted to get our wedding cake.

When I walked into the bakery the staff was kind. Very bubbly and talkative. Their excitement matched mine. Again I knew this was where I wanted my wedding cake to come from. I support black owned business all day everyday.

I placed my order with Erica, paid in full and left with some goodies for the household.

A week later I got a call from someone who said they were Erica's brother and asked why I hadn't come to pick up my cake. Huh? What? My wedding is a month away what do you mean. Well the cake was made in the wrong date. The brother apologized and we confirmed the correct pick up date.

Then the October 28th pick up date arrived. I went to the bakery to see it had been closed and a new location coming soon. There was a number on the door that said call for pick up and delivery. It was the same number on their instagram that had been going directly to a FULL VOICE-MAIL BOX. Are you kidding me. I go to the salon next door and ask them if they have another number for Erica and luckily they do. A personal direct line. I call and she answers. She sounds happy to hear from me and knew my order from memory. She said she was in Marietta and would deliver my wedding cake the next morning 8-9am and for me to text her my address. I do...great I'm excited again.

Well 9:07am the next day rolls around and no cake. I text and she asks where I will be at 11am. So since I am the bride I will be unavailable but you can deliver to the venue. She says she will be there by 1130am. LIES...she got there at 1230pm only after I had my Maid of Honors call.

So after my ceremony my mother pulls me aside before I'm able to see my cake. It has begun to fall apart and they have done what they could to hold it together but the is no guarantee. At that point I didn't care anymore. I couldn't be more angry at the establishment. It was an unfortunate experience. My cake fell apart completely. It tasted like blue dye. There were two hairs on it.

Ohhh and I forgot that when I couldn't get in touch with the owner and took to instagram to create a dialog she deleted my comments.
