Avoid this company at all costs. Terrible customer service. Corporate and call centers can't even coordinate assistance in a timely manner.

The most incompetent company I have ever seen. I will not begin to list all of my grievances but the list is long and you can count on other reviews to give their testimonies. Just understand that my apartment complex does not offer an alternative internet provider and I have chosen to do without. YES, that is correct I have chosen to GO WITHOUT INTERNET for the remainder of my lease rather than pay this company another dime. Plan and simple never do business with Direct Path.

The sad part about all of these reviews is that they are 100% accurate! There are no exaggerations, no one is stretching the truth, this is the absolute worst service that exists. I have called LITERALLY called them over 30 TIMES in the last year alone! My internet goes out on a day to day basis! I come home from work and don't expect it to working properly. I decided that I didn't need cable because I had internet service, boy was I wrong. It literally goes out at least once a month. Then they say they'll send a technician out and then he comes and acts like he did something and it stops working the next day. My apartment complex forces me to have Direct path and that's the only reason I have it. If I find my dream home and the community tells me I have to have Direct Path, I promise you I won't move there. It's so infuriating to have a service that you pay for and it won't work. Like why are you guys still in business??!?!? The only reason they get one star is because they don't allow you to do negative stars!!! Don't go with this service!

Worst Service Available

I can't wait until my lease on this apartment is up so I can get away from this awful service.

The Internet is down constantly, when it is working it is slower than 56k. Trace routes are downright embarrassing.

Customer service is rude, less knowledgable about networking than me, and phenomenally inefficient. Once a rep was trying to make conversation with me, and I told him I was an Economics grad student and he responded by saying that he was shocked I was still in college in my mid twenties, guess he doesn't know what grad means. He then reassured me that if I worked very hard I might be able to get a sweet call center job like his. It took all my patience not to file a complaint.

If you're looking at an apartment complex with this service, do not move there. It just isn't worth this, especially if you need reliable Internet access for work or school.

Beware of this company! Unfortunately I am locked into using them bc of my apartments but as soon as my lease is up I'm moving! Directpath told me lies. I paid a balance to restore service and they have not turned the cable/internet back on! I am paying for a service I am not able to access! Every time I call it's another lie/story. I cannot communicate with them bc they are based out of India and very scripted in their responses. This company has been extremely difficult to deal with since day one. DirectTV should be ashamed for associating with these people. Bill Dodd is the CEO of DirectPath I am currently sending him my complaints as well as the BBB, FTC and FCC. This company has to be stopped! I would give them negative stars if I could but had to give them 1!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER. THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE DIRT AND THERE IS REALLY NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.



The only reason I had this service was because my apartment complex had a contract with them. As soon as I could go with another internet provider, I cancelled my internet service with this company. That was in March 2010 and I paid the last bill in April. I did not hear anything from this company until over 6 months later when they disconnected my cable, at which time I called Direct TV to find out what was wrong and they told me I would have to contact DirecPath to get the issue resolved as they had the contract with my complex. When I finally got through to someone, I was told that I owed $244.80 for past due charges and that they had no record of me ever cancelling the service. I went round and round with these people and finally had to pay a $50.00 reconnect fee while they researched the problem. I paid the $50.00 and a week later they finally reconnected the cable. Now, less than a month later they have again disconnected the cable (with no notice) and I received a bill for $288.40 the same day.



When I called back to them to find out what was going on, they stated that the previous supervisor that I had spoken with had not put in a ticket or sent anything to the billing office so nothing was ever resolved. Now he has to put in a ticket to do the same thing. In the meantime, I have no cable service because they disconnected it, even though my service is no longer with them and hasn't been since March 2010.
