I give this facility no stars at all, no one is professional, the dr doesn't even take time to examine you, and the receptionist always have personal phone calls while a patient is waiting to be checked out.... Poor facility

It would have been quicker to go to the Hospital ER. When you are very ill, the last thing you want to do is sit in an Urgent Care for hours. As if the wait wasn't terrible enough, I have never had such a negative experience with a so-called health care professional. When I finally saw the doctor, I explained to him my cough was so bad I thought I was going to vomit and that my cough had pretty much kept me up all night for two nights in a row. It was by far the worst cough I've ever experienced and Delsym wasn't cutting it. I also told him about the many other OTC products I was trying because money was tight and I didn't want to go to the doctor. Unfortunately, it was obvious I needed to see a doctor. I do not go to the doctor unless it's completely necessary.

My boyfriend made a comment to the doctor that I always get sick around this time of year (winter) and immediately the doctor surmised I was simply suffering from allergies. I told him it was absolutely not allergies- that I have never had allergies and a cough this severe could in no way be from allergies. My cough was so loud, constant, and severe I'm pretty sure the entire office could hear it. I tried to explain my symptoms but could hardly do that because the doctor kept interrupting me and asking questions that were irrelevant. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me (after hours of waiting) and then got out the prescription pad.

He asked me what my family doctor usually gave me for a cough. I told him it was some type of hydrocodone-based syrup (I wasn't sure exactly what it was called). I don't know why he bothered to ask because he wrote me something called "Bromfed DM". I asked him if he could give me what I usually got from my family doctor instead because I know it usually worked and I could not go another night without sleep... the cough was killing me. He said "just try this". I was so exhausted I just left with the prescriptions- Bromfed DM, a steroid, and a suggestion to take Claritin.

I got to the 24-hour pharmacy and waited for them to fill the prescriptions (It was around midnight at this point). Apparently Bromfed DM does not come in a generic form and even with my insurance, it was $75. I specifically told the doctor how tight money was... but he didn't listen to anything I said about my symptoms so why would he have paid attention to that? I was outraged but I was so tired and upset I put it on my credit card and went home. I was too tired and sick to think (BIG MISTAKE) because the prescription cough syrup he gave me was pretty much just Delsym and Pseudoephedrine and I could have saved myself $75 and just took some Delsym and Sudafed that I already had at home.

After ANOTHER miserable night of coughing so hard I couldn't sleep (and my boyfriend couldn't sleep either because of the constant noise)... I went to another Urgent Care. They actually listened to me and were horrified about my previous Urgent Care experience. They tested me for Whooping Cough and sent me home with some hydrocodone-based cough syrup. They called me back a week later when the lab tests were in... I had Pertussis a.k.a Whooping Cough. Last time I checked... Whooping Cough is nothing like seasonal allergies.

I never write reviews but I felt the need to warn people to NOT WASTE THEIR TIME OR MONEY and go to a decent Urgent Care. I only tried this one because it's the only one open until Midnight and it was late. Next time I'll tough it out until the next day or visit the ER. I suggest you do too.
