Dr. Clay loves the diversity of patients and diseases seen in Dermatology. Behind each door is a new mystery, which makes each day different and exciting. My interest in Dermatology began early and stemmed from my personal skin issues. Having dealt with acne and eczema as a teenager, Dr. Clay knows the impact skin disease can have on ones self-esteem and interpersonal relationships. I empathize with patients who dont feel confident because of the appearance of their skin.Seeing improvement in patients is very gratifying to Dr. Clay whose interests include psoriasis, skin cancer prevention, hair disorders, and skin of color. To make the most out of your visit with Dr. Clay bring a list of your current medications and previously used treatments. Bringing containers of current and previously used topical medications shows me exactly what you have and allows me to read what ingredients it contains. In order for patients to actively participate in their health, they must understand their disease and treatment. Dr. Clay makes it her mission to ensure that patients are knowledgeable about their diagnosis. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association.
