This place is actually really good for a couple of reasons.

A lot of people seem to think this place is ghetto and full of riff raff. I've been living here almost 7 months now. The majority of people I see are African American, which basically means the people who make those assumptions are stereotyping based off of race. Tsk tsk. That and you would be surprised how many parking spots DON'T have cars in them lol.

Anyway, what has impressed me the most is the staff here. They do not play. Felipe is seriously one of the best employees I've ever seen in that business. If you have a problem, he gets to the bottom of it period. Not just him either, the whole staff. I'm under the impression they are turning that place around and maybe it used to be kind of "ghetto". They are doing a good job if that's the case.

I haven't had any problems there. Nor have there been any crazy incidents like cars getting broken into, murders, or crime in general. I think I got lucky because my back patio is very private and quiet which I love. I haven't had any issues here at all. None.

I came in today to inquire about their townhouses. The person that was in the leasing office did not know anything and had a confused face as if I was speaking another language. His excuses to not know anything was that he had been working there for 2 days. Then, this other lady came to help me and had an an attitude of frustration and was acting like an a&&hole. Her excused was that the was not an employee at these apartments and that she was just helping. I asked if she had a map of the complex to see were the 3 townhouses for rent were located just in case they had one on a corner and I would choose that one. She responded back "they are every were". The townhouses were listed as $959/mo online and they were giving me the rent of $986. They said that they would not honor on-lines price because it was a system error, even if I filled out the application on-line and it's been days showing that price. These people have terrible attitudes and I cannot imagine dealing with them if something needs repair in the apt and they don't do it in a timely manner. I would have applied for the $986/mo rent, but they just pushed me away with the terrible customer service they provided. As if I was asking for a free home.

I've been at the Carlyle of Sandy Springs for 2 years now and have LOVED it prior to this recent new management change. They have THE WORST customer service I've ever seen. I've paid my rent early or on time every single month without issue prior to them. They came in and took the online payment option away without notice but sent a little letter letting everyone know the first time so my payment was about 2 days late (paid the 4th) the assistant manager stated that the online payment option will definitely be up next month and apologized for the inconvenience however, this month was the same. No online payment option and this time NO NOTICE!! I called on the 3rd asking about it and was told that it should be up shortly however, she can take the payment by the 5th (Monday) if unable to pay online. Well nothing showed up online, I work out of town this week and next week and informed her on Monday that I will not be able to get the payment in until tomorrow due to my commute and this inconvenience. She seemed like she wanted to help and got a manager but this manager was the most rude, disrespectful lil thing I've ever spoken to. And I was only concerned about getting this money to them, I wasn't rude or even frustrated and she had the most nasty attitude ever and still charged me a $100 late fee!!! Her first response to me saying "good morning my name is, I just need an option to make this payment in a more timely fashion possibly tomorrow. Without online, this is a huge inconvenience for me" she says "well others figured it out so why can't you?" I informed her of me being away due to work and that this is their mishap not mine. she says "um when does your lease end!?" This will definitely be my last lease here.

This place started out as a good neighborhood. Then all of a sudden they change management without at least a weeks notice. The old management had it set up so that residents could easily pay their rent online and the new management took that away without a warning. I have been her 3 years and my list of bad things outweigh the good. Maintenance takes their time with fixing things and then the do not complete the job. There is always trash all over the place by the compactor because it gets full and no one wants to close the compactor and tun it on. The management threatens to charge every unit $125 for every bag of trash that is sitting on the ground and not in the compactor. I will not recommend anyone stay here because their are a lot of people who do not want to do their jobs. I pay too much money to live here to have people to try and get over on me. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!

Another reason not to move here is because on several different occasions I encountered strange and random people sleeping in the hallways. In all honesty this place is not safe to live!

o not move in these apartments. The Manager and woman with the dark hair are VERY RUDE. we have had issues with the leasing office in the past. They "tried" to correct it but in reality made things worse. Because we were so unhappy about the apartment. They offered us out the lease but only allowed us less than 2 weeks to find some where else to live plus $500 Or to move into another unit plus $500 applied to rent. Well because i was so disgusted with the townhomes i said i would move. However I could not find something in a timely matter, so I asked for an extension. The darked haired lady then became disrespectful so we asked for corporate. She stated she could not give corporate's number out. I asked over and over. Corporate stated we would recieve the $500 whether we moved out or not. My problem was passed all around the office for them to tell me i would not get the $500 if i didnt moved. 1st mistake. On aug 9th I cried out to the manager I'm the leasing office explaining to her that my ex bf is making threats. I begged her not to let him in the home unless myself and an escort was present. She then allowed him access it. I come home to him rambling all in my things, both of my tvs stollen and a lot more personal items gone. I feel like she was accomplicq. As f approched both women as to why you let him in after i explained the threats, they both laughed. Nothing about the situation was funny nor professional. I explained there will be a lawsuit behind this..the manager laughed again. What the management just did was allowed for residents to no longer be safe because what if something happens to me. .then what? DO NOT MOVE HERE! NOT SAFE. ALL THE MANAGER KEPT DOING WAS SAYING THANK YOU FOR PAYING YOUR RENT THIS MONTH. AND CHUCKLED

I will return!!

The staff is priceless!! I recommend Carlyle of Sandy Springs as a great place to live. Maintenance is very timely rather they get it right the first time or 2nd!! Carlyle is clean & location is perfect! After my temporary work assignment I will be back & The Carlyle will be my 1st call.
