Bistro Niko is one of my family's favorite places to go. Last week, I was lucky enough to attend twice. Once for my mothers birthday dinner and then the Veuve Clicquot event! The lively atmosphere is intoxicating and they have some of the best champagne selections in the city. My mom and I sat on the patio overlooking Peachtree and enjoyed the lovely fall weather.

The Veuve event there was absolutely packed with young professionals eager to socialize after work. There was decor, drink specials and even a photo backdrop outside to take photos in front of. The Veuve reps walked around taking polaroids of everyone and the Bistro bartenders were having a great time mixing drinks for everyone. Can't wait until their next event.

I love French food and I've heard so much about this place that I had to drop in. After my visit I can't say that I feel the same as other who have raved about this place. The atmosphere was nice and so was the service , but the food wasn't the star . It was lunch time and I wanted something lite so, I tried the Crisped Duck Confit with frisée salad and potatoes. The duck was good , but the sauce didn't have much of a flavor. The salad well ... I could have done without, but the potatoes were decent. All and all the meal wasn't bad, but based on what I was told it didn't knock my socks off. I will try them again because I'm always willing to give a restaurant one more chance. My friend had the seafood pasta and she said it was amazing. On my next trip I'm going to try my all time favorite French dish which is Coq Au Vin. Now if this isn't where I need it to be I'm going to have to make this my last trip. This is still a nice place to meet up for drinks and the staff is amazing.
