i have made several attempts to report a business POWERS LIQUOR STORE 3196 DONALD LEE HOLLOWELL PKWY / THIS STORE PREVIOUSLY OPERATED UNDER TOWERS... they keep closing the case . this store is stealing the identy of customers on a daily basis. help

For several months, we had been getting calls from a collection agency wanting to talk to someone that I did not know, nor had he ever lived here or had this phone number. (have lived here and had this # since 1992) If you pushed 1 or 2 to talk to someone, the line would always disconnect. They had 5 different phones listed but no matter what time of day we called, we always got the recording that their office was closed. There was no way to contact these people and we were tired of the harassing phone calls. (sometimes as many as 4 a day) We contacted the BBB, explained the problem, and within a week, they e-mailed and said they had contacted the company and were waiting for an answer. The company eventually contacted them, and determined that they had the wrong number listed for this deadbeat, and they apologized for calling us, and would remove our # from their records. We have not had another call since then. Thank you so much for helping with this. We really appreciate it.

AT&T sent my bill to collection without sending me a bill. I could not resolve my issue so I wrote on line to BBB. Within 24 hours, I received a call from the Office of the President and my issue was taken care of. Thanks BBB for your great support and follow up to make sure my issue was resolved.

I have used the Better Business Bureau on several occassions to resolve disputes. While not successful in each instance, the staff has been professional and efficient. I believe it is important for consumers to check information with the Better Business Bureau prior to conducting business with an organization in an effort to ensure that one is doing business with a reputable firm.

Amazing results once I contacted BBB regarding a problem with YP yellow page advertising charges. I was charged without my consent or knowledge for another full year of advertising. My business has advertised with them for over 30 years and discovered they used a voice authorization made by me 2 years ago to simply extend my contract -after several calls..email after email..letter after letter, with no response, I contacted BBB and received a phone call from the YP's Presidents assistant almost immediately! I was shocked as I have never used BBB before and this was my last attempt to find resolution. After explaining the situation to the YP assistant, the charges were dropped and the yearly billing discontinued. I am absolutely overjoyed that BBB got this situation finally resolved. They were my last attempt to find justice but going forward, I wouldn't hesitate to contact them first! Professional, detailed and had terrific follow-through and follow-up. Wish I could give them 10 stars!

I had problem with my cell phone provider charging me for international roaming even though I subscribed to international data roaming prior to my trip. I reported it to BBB and I got a prompt resolution with full refund. Thanks to BBB team for escalation to senior management.

I have used the BBB to help me resolve two business complaints. Both resulted in a fair settlement of my claim. I went to BBB because I got the brush off in trying to get fair treatment on my own. After BBB contacted these businesses they decided to resolve the problem. I am glad I ask them to help. My advice is ask the BBB to help in a dispute that's going no where.

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseI contacted the better business bureau because I was having trouble getting a free copy of my credit report from Equifax. The Better Business Bureau contacted Equifax on my behalf and Equifax agreed to mail me a copy of my report. I was very satisfied with the speed and professionalism they showed while assisting me. Short story...UPS Freight was to deliver item to home in TX from KS. Ultimately, had to drive 6 miles with pickup to retrieve from 18 wheeler delivery truck making second attempt because driver was not familiar with area. Company attempted to charge me $20 for second delivery. After 6 frustrating months with UPS Customer Service, utilized BBB web site in Atlanta (Corporate office of UPS) and posted complaint. UPS Corporate responder displayed same lack of critical thinking skills as did employees I spoke with for 6 months attempting to get charge removed. However, within about a weeks time it was removed. Lesson learned: for erroneous charges, don't bother with UPS Customer Service...go straight to Atlanta BBB and file complaint. It is far more timely and productive. It didn't hurt that I also filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General. On a side note, UPS declined to pay my $50 invoice for having to retrieve what they were supposed to deliver which cost me about $300.

I had a long existing problem( 1 1/2 years) with UPS, had contacted them too many times with no results. I finally contacted the BBB to ask for help. It only took one complaint, one communication from the BBB and my problem was finally resolved. I have used the BBB in the past to help with stubborn problems, I will continue to use them. They are an advocate for the citizen, not big business. I am grateful for all their help.

I would highly recommend using Better Business Bureau to resolve issues with companies that think they can 'get over' on consumers. Several times I have had to utilize this method and almost always get the result that I need. I have told many friends about this source of help and they have much praise for BBB's assistance. I give the staff 4 staff because they work diligently to get the matter resolved quickly.

BBB solved my issue with att in a timely manner. Once i filed a complaint i got a login to view or change complaint and to see updates. After that they gave some time to business to respond to this and att called me up and settled the problem. Thank you so much BBB. A small suggestion from my side please change your website layout after we login to the complaint. Its confusing at times. Thanks again!

I have used the better Business Bureau for various complaints regarding business matters weather big or small. They have even assisted me in regards to checking on various companies that I had questions on. For the better part of the Better Business Bureau is the resource company that can get the job done, they even take the time to always follow up with you when you still are not satisfied with the results. I have gained great respect with BBB because they really care. My Motto Is: When you feel mislead or not heard and you exhausted all your efforts to get the matter resolved take it to Better Business Bureau they really get things done to your satisfaction and if not satisfied, they will work on your behalf. In my book BBB rates #1.

The BBB is extremely helpful for me when I am searching for a company's reputation & helps me make a decision whether or not I will do business with them. Likewise, the BBB has been helpful for me in voicing my negative or positive comments about a company. The BBB has responded quickly & helped resolve two issues I've had with companies. One being a refund from an airlines & the other did not respond to the BBB complaint, therefore putting a negative mark on their reputation for others to view if they use the BBB to "check out" a company or business. Overall, it is an essential part of my decision making process in determining whether or not I will do business with a company, and a forum to help others (and myself) when I feel I have been mislead or wronged by a company.

When a company hears from the BBB, they respond. I had an issue with AT&T along with a $1900 bill for early termination. After contacting the BBB, a professional from AT&T contacted me and admitted I had been charged for DSL lines I did not have along with other irregularities. My $1900 balance was cleared to zero. I had an issue with Comcast and spent 3 months trying to get them to cancel my mother's phone (she has alzheimers). After contacting the BBB, a preofessional from Comcast contacted me and my bill was zero. Finally, I purchased a printer from Brother. It broke in the first month. Brother did not want to replace it. After contacting the BBB, I had a new printer in 2 days. The BBB rocks.

I highly recommend the BBB for resolution of complaints. I had a recent experience with an Atlanta based big box store corporation that would not refund the purchase price of an item I ordered (found it to be the wrong item) then returned in the original packaging in unused condition. After several hours of haggling, being on hold, etc., I decided to use the BBB. Within three days the situation was resolved. I have used BBBs three times in the past 10 years to get satisfaction from a company not fulfilling its responsibilities. Each time they solved the problem pronto. Would not hesitate to use again. They seem to be able to make companies do what they should have done with prodding.
