Mays High School offers education to students in nine through grade 12. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school has a career technology department, which provides instructions and skills training in various areas that include business information technology, graphic arts technology, marketing education, and broadcast and video production. Additionally, it offers a range of sports activities that includes cheerleading, cross country, football, softball, volleyball, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, basketball and swimming. The school also organizes various extracurricular organizations that include academy peer tutors, magnet schools of America and the Science National Honor Society.
