Excellent food, but pretty $$$ for the portions you get. The fish options, which come a la carte, are only about 4 oz, but are priced like an 8-oz cut would be at most seafood restaurants. With that said, the oysters are the best I've ever had in Atlanta! And the honey crab claws are worth every penny (even though you only get a couple per serving).

BeetleCat is a cute little seafood restaurant nestled in Inman Park. Although the food was good, it wasn't anything to rave about. The overall concept for the restaurant is obviously seafood, I think they tried a little bit too hard to add an Asian fusion to the menu. I had the udon noodles. They were alright. I think the atmosphere and cocktails still won me over. I would definitely go back to visit!

Finally got around to trying Beetlecat and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was great for a Friday night dinner with family - it wasn't too loud, but was definitely a cool place to be. The server (she was great!) recommended we try a bunch of different options and split them, so we did - our favorites were the lobster roll (YUM) and the swordfish.

Worth the price for the fresh seafood, in my opinion.

Combine Caribbean seafood with a modern and chic gastropub atmopshere and you get Beetlecats. The addictingly non chewy calamari is lightly breaded and fried. The ultimate crowd pleasing Whole Fish is stuffed with lemon wheels and fresh herbs and spices. Definitely try one of their tantalizing drinks from the fully stocked bar. For sandwiches try the lobster po boy, and for a side nosh on their tostones.

I went to Beetlecat for a Friday afternoon lunch. I love the cute setup. We ate lunch on the patio and had the baked oysters appetizer plus one of the lunch boxes. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the high price point for lunch options. Portions weren't super large, just enough, but the price is high. Close two $40 for two menu items with the appetizer split between two people. For the oysters we got a total of three between the two of us. Maybe dinner prices are easier to justify.

I totally had to Google what a Beetle Cat is and what it had to do with seafood (it's a type of boat), but there's no question that the food here is amazing. The oysters were very fresh--I'm a seafood snob--and I would eat the salt & pepper squid every day if I could. The lobster roll was well-executed and is a must-have. Oh, and you have to grab a cocktail (or two) while you're there. Ford Fry, you have done it again!

A trip to Beetlecat feels like a trip to the beach...minus the sand in your toes. Consistently wonderful service in a lovely atmosphere with tons of personality. The menu changes every week- so you have to trust that what you order will be delicious even though you've not had it before...and it always is.

The atmosphere is spot-on. Ford Fry does it again...the upstairs is a swanky yacht feel, with the downstairs more of a laid back 80's vibe. The food is a little expensive, but the baked oysters are amazing. Interesting and strong cocktails. Gets very crowded on weekends but perfect for drinks after dinner if you can't get a table.

I LOVE this place. The food is inventive, there is great variety on the menu and the atmosphere is really fun and vibrant. The seafood dishes are the speciality but the non seafood dishes standout equally. You may have a wait (no reservations) but it's worth it!

The seafood was amazing. We ordered a sample platter and it was wonderful for two. The staff was great and helpful but needs to work out their kinks concerning menu knowledge. Otherwise, they always found the answer if they did not know it. If you want great oysters and seafood check it out. The Diner bar downstairs is a great spot as well.
