The Atlanta Opera's performance of La Boheme was quite entertaining despite a few glitches with the translation above the stage. One did not need to be fluent in Italian to understand the opera. The acting was very good and the singing was outstanding. Musetta fairly stole the show with her lively and amusing antics. Mimi was engaging and sang beautifully. The gentlemen were all very convincing in their roles and transported the audience to the bohemian lifestyle in the period of France depicted in the opera. Well done! I am delighted that I became a season subscriber and look forward to the company's next performance, Porgy and Bess.
