Nightmare! YP did not perform. On one year their advertising netted seven clients! For a grand total of $14,400. Their internet presence in non-existent. The customer service horrendous! Ad language is laughable...something akin to what high school kids would come up with. Impossible to cancel contract. On top of that they charge more than what they say and billed to two cycles after the contract ended. WORST. COMPANY. EVER.

Even submitting a review with this company is maddening. It was a mistake from the start, and cancellation is a nightmare. I refuse to pay on an account that i have cancelled by phone several times even though they tell you you have to send a certified cancellation letter. Then i couldnt even get a name and address to send the letter to. The collection agency they sent me to is all too familiar and told me they would never bother me again.

Pacific Bell Directory & AT&T, Assisting The Underground Economy

What is an underground economy? "Underground economy" is a term that refers to those individuals and businesses that deal in cash and/or use other schemes to conceal their activities and their true tax liability from government licensing, regulatory, and taxing agencies. Underground economy is also referred to as tax evasion, tax fraud, cash pay, tax gap, payments under-the-table, and off-the-books.

Pacific Bell Directory, a subsidiary of AT&T, proliferates advertisements supporting the underground economy in Los Angeles. Because AT&T claims no responsibility to screen advertisements. Hundreds of false, deceptive contractor ads are being published through their print and online directories. The underground economy cost the city and state millions of dollars. Consumers are getting ripped off, Senior Citizens are being taken advantage of, and legal companies loose business.

The Federal Trade Commission ,the Direct Marketing Association and the US Postal Inspection Service have industry guidelines for the screening of advertisements. The LocalSearch Association (a national yellow pages association) provides industry advertising specifications standards and guidelines. AT&T and Pacific Bell Directory say these industry standards and guidelines do not apply to them.

AT&T and Pacific Bell Directory allow advertisements with unregistered/untraceable company names. The illegal advertisers also have hundreds of untraceable fake addresses. These fake addresses make the illegal companies look like local companies.

I have a garage door company in burbank with a true physical location. Since 2008 I have had to compete with 80+ false advertisements that AT&T allowed in the Burbank book with local addresses. Currently my company must compete with 380 garage door companies listed by AT&T within 10 miles of my location. About 85% of these ads are false and 10 % are miss listed. That is 95% inaccurate and misleading. These are horrible advertising ethics and AT&T’s products cannot be trusted.

They don't even deserve one Star but apparently, you can't give them a 0 Star. If you sign up for Digital Solutions, buyer beware. They have little tiny disclaimers at the bottom of your contract saying if you want to cancel, you have to go to their website, read the cancel information which basically tells you that if you don't cancel within 10 days, they automatically sign you up for a year. It takes at least 3 months to work, so why would you cancel after 10 days. I tried to cancel after 3 months as it was not working for us, and they are giving me a hard time. I did have a Direct Mail campaign scheduled to go out, but canceled that as well, as I don't trust this company.

They now are billing me for a direct mail campaign that I did not do. Horrible Company.

We signed up with AT&T several weeks ago. It was a little slow at first, but I'm fully joy now with their program. Emily Tucker is the best, she gave me 150% and she still continues to see to my needs and then some.

Thanks to all at AT&T

What terrible customer service...

What terrible customer service! Our business has used AT&T Advertising Solutions for almost 10 years. We had never noticed an increase in clientele from the listing. We just like to make sure we are listed, so if people do look for us there, they will find us.

About 8 months ago, AT&T started listing the INCORRECT TELEPHONE NUMBER for our business. It had been the same number for years, then, randomly one month, they had it listed incorrectly. We did not notice for a few months. When we did notice, we called and spoke with several different people. They assured us they would have someone call us to take care fo the problem. We stopped paying them at this point, because they were not providing us with any service.

Basically, after 8 months, there has been no resolution to the problem. Instead of offering to fix the error and refund the few months that were listed incorrectly, they gave us the run around. Not only did they not offer to fix the error, or take accountability for it, they have now sent us to a collections company for $800, when we paid about $1700 for an incorrect listing. What great treatment after about 10 years of loyalty to their company.

AT&T Advertising "Solutions", i.e. nightmare

Wow! What a mistake I made with AT&T Advertising Solutions. To filter out unwanted solicitation does not work! I pay for every sales call that comes through! Also, to "filter" all calls based on a 150 mile radius of where I work, only works if the call comes from a landline! If they call from a New Mexico cellphone looking for unemployment office, I pay for the call! I am paying for calls where the caller hangs up before I answer! In looking at my actual call log, when it takes people more than 11 seconds to say they are looking for a government office, I am paying! (AT&T's advise to me was to be rude to people and just "hang up.") Pay....pay.....pay! AT&T's new moto. This is absolutely Buyer Beware!
