Bob and the Alpha Academy of Dog Training has been one of the best experiences as a life long dog owner of Shepherds, Rottweilers, and English Bull Terriers.

All of my dogs have been well socialized and obedient; however, working with Bob and my new 7 month old Bull Terrier has us both at a whole new level.

Bob is friendly, extremely professional, always punctual, and with decades of experience he makes it easy for you to understand what to do and why to get you results fast.

As an owner of both personal pets and Service Dogs, I highly recommend Bob and the Alpha Academy of Dog Training.

We have used Bob to train two dogs - both puppies. His patience and knowledge is top notch and I always learn how to be a better dog parent with his guidance.

I have used Bob Moorefield for training 3 dogs over the last 32 years. He is the "Dog Whisperer"! He radiates a calm demeanor and is excellent at handling even the most stubborn pup. My current puppy, Ziva loves interacting with Bob. He is patient but firm; after 3 weeks of training she heels, comes on command, sits, stays, lies down and goes to her place and she does it all enthusiastically!
Bob is the epitome of an excellent trainer. I cannot say enough good things about him and would recommend his services without hesitation.

I cannot say enough about Bob. He has worked a miracle with our wild man. I really didn’t think it was possible to convince him that I am the boss but with Bob’s help, we’re almost there! Firm, yet gentle instruction.

We inherited my daughter's 14-month-old moyen poodle. She is a very friendly, active, and exuberant dog, but she had been a handful, to say the least.
With Bob's help, we can now ride the elevator without Suki loving everyone in it to death. She now sits patiently and is happy for the ride. We can go for walks without having an upper-body work out to counteract the pulling. We have her sit to greet guests, go to her place, where she rests happily while we are having dinner with friends. Before Bob helped us, we had to restrain her and accept that she would complain throughout the dinner.

Bob accomplished all this in 3 weeks in his kind and caring manner. He taught Suki to listen and us how to correct her and modify her behavior without losing her delightful spirit.

Outstanding service from Bob training my 8 month old German Shepard Luna at my home. Consistent, experienced, loving training has helped tremendously already. Doing the training at the same time has taught me what I need to do to handle safely and correctly my energetic dog. She has been a quick learner. The best investment I ever made for myself and my dog. Would use Bob again for any dog I brought into my home.

A friend referred me to Bob to help with my one year mini golden doodle. This is my first dog at age 68, and I was clueless. Bob really helped us both with his calm, patient manner. I can’t praise him enough!

Bob provided excellent training for our first labrador, about 14 years ago. So, when we recently got a new puppy, now 4 months, we called up Bob again! We’ve engaged his services for three weeks training (1 hour daily) and will finish up this week. My wife and I are working to create better routines, habits and overall good behaviors. Norton (our pup) is really enjoying the work and it's fantastic to see his progress.

Bob provides a really simple set of instructions to follow during each session. His sessions include achievable steps to practice each day and beyond. Within 1 day, our pup was no longer "snatching" treats from our hand, and now has a much more gentle approach.

Norton is quickly becoming a pleasure to walk with on leash. Healing like a champ. Sit, stay, come - These are all sinking in quickly as we do our part with verbal commands and hand signals. We've been working on "come" from distances and also sit into a "down" position. And, my favorite is "go to your place" where he happily goes to his bed or “safe place” to create some separation when needed.

I would recommend Bob to anyone that is committed to improving themselves as a dog owner and making your dog a polite citizen.

Bob doesn't just train dogs, he transforms them.
10 years ago, Bob trained my rescue lab, who I still have to this day. In a matter of weeks, Dodger went from being skittish and scattered, to confident and clear-headed.
So a few months ago, when I got another rescue lab, I called Bob. Jack was a high-energy 1 yr old, prone to chewing, nervousness and jumping. After Bob was done, Jack had become an obedient, calm dog who goes immediately to his "place" when directed, and heels like a champ.
I can not recommend Bob highly enough. He cares deeply about dogs, and he cares deeply about the relationship you have with your dogs.

We just completed our fifth dog being obedience trained by Bob; a 4 pound Maltese. The prior 4 were a 100 lb golden retriever rescue, a 50 lb lab mix rescue, and a 50 lb Aussie over the past 15 years. Needless to say if we acquire another dog we will call Bob for his experience and excellent results.
He comes to your place (home)and works with your dog and just as important the people in your dogs life. The daily training (workouts) for three weeks gives the desired results (come, sit, stay and go to your place)

Babee is a one year old female Blue Heeler mix I adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society six weeks ago. Although she is very smart, her mother (me) didn't have the patience to train her on my own. Bob Moorefield, owner of Alpha Dog Academy, was the first person I thought of when seeking a trainer because one of his trainers trained an AHS puppy I adopted 25 years ago. Bob trained Babee at my home and also worked outside to put her in different situations where distractions would occur. In just 3 weeks, Bob taught Babee to sit, lay down, stay and "go to place" in addition to other commands. He is a fabulous trainer and as important, an amazing teacher for the owner. He was very patient with me and made sure that he pointed out areas of improvement when necessary. I can't say enough about Bob's professionalism, compassion for animals and patience while training Babee and me. I know I can always call Bob if needed with any follow up questions and/or support.

Bob Moorefield has been truly amazing with our little Gracie the Westie Terrier. Honestly, he has been a life-saver for us as new dog owners as well. The change in Gracie is a 180 compared from when we first got her until now. In just one month, Gracie is able to sit, lay down, stay, and "go to your place". And, we are not too far away from "roll over". The way Gracie responds to Bob is so fun to watch, and we are hoping for that response to rub on us some. Bob Moorefield is not only a great dog trainer, but more importantly, a great teacher for the dog owner. He has taught us more than we could ever hope for.

Bob Morefield is amazing. In just 2 weeks, he trained my Great Pyrenees rescue to heel, sit, come, stay, down and he also helped him overcome a paralyzing fear of our basement stairs. My dog is so excited to see him every time he arrives and he is clearly smitten through his training sessions.



On top of all that, he really cares about the dogs. My dog got really sick for a few days and Bob called frequently to check on him to see how he was doing and offer his support.



I can't recommend h highly enough, he truly is amazing with dogs and a super nice and helpful man as well.

Bob has trained dogs for 40+ yrs and is very passionate about proper training (for both the dogs and owners!). He is greatly respected by our dogs & family. He worked with us in our home but we also worked outside a lot since a key to success is that the dog behaves as trained, regardless of diff situations and distractions. It's amazing how much progress I've made with my 1 and 2 year old Rotts in just 3 short weeks! My neighbors have even been complementing their good behavior. I weigh 100 lbs and both my dogs add up to 200, and I was able to walk both together on a heel -- a feat I never dreamed possible! I can't say enough about how wonderful he is, but I will close by saying that he's a kind, patient man and is very flexible & accommodating. It gives me great confidence to know that I can always call on him and he'll be there for any help I may need going forward. He's truly the best and I highly recommend him for any dog training needs you may have.

Our new puppy is the second dog Bob has trained, the first being the BEST DOG EVER! So there was no question that we should have Bob come back to do the same with this pup and to give me a refresher course. ( It is about training both the dog and the owner )

Once again, He has worked his magic. Starting with day one, we saw progress daily over the 3 weeks with Bob. Sit/stay, down, place, heel, etc., our puppy was learning fast. One of the best things was using a whistle with the come command. After our puppy bolted into the front yard while I was answering the door, I used the whistle and he came right back. I then started to use the place/down/stay command before opening the door! There is no doubt that this dog will also be the BEST DOG EVER! Everyone should have Bob in their puppy's life.

We impulsively got a husky and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Bob was recommended to us so we decided to have him train our 3-month puppy. It's been a few weeks since our training ended and our puppy is doing great! Bob was great to work with and taught us a lot on how to have a well-behaved dog. He's definitely an excellent dog trainer!

I have never seen a better trained and well-adjusted dog than my sister's dog that Bob trained. She could be told to sit and stay and would literally not move until told it was ok. Bob trained my dog, a big standard poodle rescue at 4 months old and he is now 6. I get compliments all the time in what a well-behaved, sweet dog he is. I am thinking about getting another poodle puppy and have reached out to Bob again.

My dog Dragon is 3 1/2 years old now. We live in Mississippi. I was just thanking some stranger for complimenting his great behavior and it made me think of Bob Moorefield Owner of Alpha Academy Dog School in Atlanta GA. When my 4 month old Havanese arrived she was very active and excitable. Bob was referred to me for training. In the time he spent with her I noticed a dramatic change. Unfortunately my puppy was training me and now I have more control. I have not had a dog since childhood and he was very helpful with training techniques, commands and how to handle an active puppy.He also gave me advice on other non-training related issues. My home is very open and he made suggestions on different methods to contain her until house broken.You are also encourage to phone if problems arise after the initial training. Bob spent extra days after the initial three weks with me to follow-up on his training techniques to make sure I got it. I am communicating with her at a much greater level than before thanks to Bob. Very experienced trainer. . Highly recommended. Money well spent.

When we brought two five-month old German Shepherd puppies from the same litter to our home, it was like inviting two tornadoes in constant spinning motion. In three weeks, Bob was an amazing guide, helping us tame the storms by completing basic obedience commands but also by explaining how to build a relationship with each of the puppies. Being from the same litter and so close to one another, it was important for us to set boundaries and learn how to integrate the puppies into our family (rather than joining their pack). With such deep expertise and experience, Bob was able to identify the training techniques and approaches that worked for us...in the end, training us on how we can bring out the best in our dogs. Bob helped explain their behavior, tendencies, and character and was an incredible guide in helping us learn how to communicate with the puppies effectively. Highly, highly recommended....Bob is truly amazing and his experience is untouchable. We would have been lost without him. Tornadoes tamed!
