I drive the bus I picked up one of these people who work there and she gave me a cookie with chocolate it was the best cookie I ever had I will be going to this restaurant even though I live in Lithonia

Alon's is a fabulous bakery in Virginia Highland. Their cake is the best I have had in Atlanta and perhaps ever - they have a ton of other healthy and unhealthy options inside to try :), but I'll be sticking with the cake as it is absolutely phenomenal.

This is categorized incorrectly. Should be under restaurants and is fabulous for breakfast or picking up some wine and cheese.

Great food - Soup and sandwiches are AWSOME, the desserts are beautiful and fancy. Kids love the cookies too. The catering options are great. Neighborhood gem.

Great coffee, pastries, sandwiches and soups for lunch, and to go entrees for a quick dinner. All fresh and always very good!

Love this bakery for sweets and breads. Impressive to go items and falafels on Thursdays rock the house!

While Alon's is pricey, it cannot be beat. Great fresh baked breads, prepared foods and lunch. Lovely cheese selection and great staff.

Coffee, bread, fish, cheese, wine, nuts and famous chocolate moose cake. Brunch, snack , and even dinner before 7pm

Alon's is fantastic. One of our favorite quick spots for coffee and breakfast during the week and on the weekends too!

My favorite bakery in the city, but costly. Great turkey sandwich, bread and cookies.

Alon's bakery is the best bakery in town. Either you are looking for a fresh bread, or craving for french macarons, this is a place to be. Their pastry is amazing and cakes to die for.

Their individual desserts are amazing. I didn't by any other products but I will go back and explore! Has a nice European feel to it.

You will know how good this place is when you walk in as chances it will be bustling with activity! One of the great Atlanta in-town institutions.

I've been going to Alon's for a while now and the food has always been excellent. That goes for entrees, sandwiches, pastries, and the desserts. The sticking point here is always the service. If you come when they're not busy, it can be the best service you've ever had. During the morning or afternoon rush though, you can get lost in the crowd and wait 15 minutes for them to press your sandwich. I see why some people can't forgive that but I figure that if you know what you're getting into it's not so bad. The food is definitely worth it.

Alon's bakery offers a variety of breads, cookies, desserts, and other baked goods, along with a well-stocked cheese case and another case full of pre-made lunches and side items. I have never had anything from Alon's that wasn't delicious. They are especially known for their sauces and spreads that come with their sandwiches. Not only are they a reliable lunch and take-out location, but their catering has always been spot-on. It's not cheap, but it's good quality and I have never had any problem with the staff or any "attitude."

Alons is my favorite place for Saturday brunch. The bread and pastries are amazing, and the kids love to pick out their favorites. Highly recommended.

This place is an amazing bakery and offers delicious bread, cakes, cookies and pastries, but they also have incredibly delicious sandwiches and sauces like black bean dip and roasted tomato sauce. An excellent place to go for a nice weekend brunch snack or for afternoon coffee too.
