Pros- able to get an appointment for the next day. Convenient location. Reasonable time spent in the salon for the service.

Cons- general customer service skills need work. They don't seem to have a concern for the health of your hair or scalp. I repeatedly told my braider that she was applying the hair too tight, she was braiding too tight, and she was applying too much pressure (the weight of her body) onto my head as she was braiding. It got to the point that I had to hold each individual braid as she was braiding them in order to relieve some of the tension as she was pulling and braiding to an already too tightly applied extension. Not to mention she left the salon for 40 minutes to pick up her child (understandable, but, kind of frustrating to an already unhappy customer). After I was about to walk out, the owner decided to finish where my braider left off with the final trimming of the braids. Long story short...my hair was so tight, my scalp was so sore and tender, I was so miserable that I took the braids out the next morning. I've had my hair braided before and I understand that a reasonable amount of tenderness is to be expected, but this was unbearable and I could not make sense of dealing with the pain and possible damage to my hair and scalp. This was money and time wasted. The owner- Alima and the braider- Maria didn't seem to care much. I did notice about 3 of their customers appeared to already have traction alopecia....this explains why.

Alima was very accomodating. I wanted long twists and I had a Dr.'s appoitment at 12:00 p.m. When scheduling the app't, I asked if they could be finished by 11:30 if several people worked on my head. Alima originally scheduled me for 7:00, but called back and scheduled for 6:00 a.m. At one moment I had 4 braiders braiding and I was walking out at 11:30 a.m and my hair looked MARVELOUS! Thanks Alima and crew members.

I got so many compliments on my hair after getting it braided hair at Alima's I hair is all natural and very thick and they still managed to complete it in a reasonable amount of time 6 hours...but they did charged a little extra for the thickness of my hair.
